I'm still here- Glad to be a part of such a great group. Been difficult to get to the gym lately- but still trying most days. And just got something neat to help me workout at home.

Thank you for your response. He said to add fats and add to total calories (after looking at my meals) so I'm enjoying avocado- it helps in both areas lol

Hello- I have dealt with CFS/ME/SEID since the age of 15- I am 34 now. I am very familiar with the horrible crashes etc, but I am glad to say I have started recently to build some strength. I used to think there was nothing I could do at a gym ( my disease is bad enough that I can not work) however- I started going to a…

Opinions wanted... I have been logging every bite and making my goal of calories (1,790) daily. That is supposed to be a 1lb a week deficit for me at sedentary level. I have also been working out 3-4 days a week about 20 minutes cardio and about 30 minutes strength training every time. I have expected weight loss... but…

@jyneefur Welcome :) "I hate getting sweaty" How about swimming- or even water based fitness classes? No sweaty feeling there. And as for carbs- I crave them also- sometimes drinking water and having fruit before I go for the less healthy carbs helps me to reduce the amount I eat of them- or even skip them.

This- Pretty much I don't like most fungus/molds etc (cottage cheese/blue cheese/mushrooms) And Black and white pepper (table pepper) because I am allergic. (Really-throat closing wheezing etc.with just a tiny exposure)

I've had a bit of the same myself. I figure wanting to do better again is a big first step. You can do it! I wonder if a few of us have been experiencing a slump, doesn't seem to be as active on here. Come on ladies and gentlemen- we can do this! One day at a time, one meal at a time.

Hello everyone- hopefully everyone has been better about logging than I have- missed a few days- which is shocking to me, but have been eating carefully anyways. Re- commiting to log every bite daily starting today. At least I have gotten to the gym 3-4 days every week. How is everyone?

Greasy foods can do that for me. It's like my body is wanting to be rid the unhealthy stuff quickly.

Welcome @79dawn sounds like you have made some great changes. Congratulations on what you have lost so far :) The exercises you mentioned should be great starter exercises, and maybe some extra walking. Keep it up and the extra weight will just melt off. Sending a friend request your way.

Had a bit of a discouraging upswing in weight, with first, company in town (ate out alot) then my T.O.M. So glad the scale is moving downward again! My husband and I have been hitting the gym 3-4 times a week so I look forward to good progress.

Yay! Awesome feeling :)

Got a bargain on a fitness tracker- a GNC with as many features as a fitbit flex (but has a display) it's pretty glitchy though- so we will see if I keep it (only cost $35) or pay $100 or more for a better one. Anyone had success with a inexpensive tracker long term?

Hmm... lakehouse- I love to hike. Least favorite job ever?

@MischelM What a great loss- and a wonderful way to celebrate.

Turf- not a fan of seafood Mexican food? Or Chinese food?,

I speak from experience that the situation you are dealing with is like being in a room filled with very thick smoke. Hard to see anything clearly - and also very unhealthy for you. I just found this thread today, but have read through most of it, and I'm so glad to see you taking some breaths of "clean air." I know what…

I Don't drink alchohol myself- but I do understand how prominent it is in some families gatherings. That said- I would suggest carefully calories eating- and moderation drinking. You could also try to get in a hike or two to ofset the extra calories. Enjoy your weekend :)

Fast for mood charging. Do you like musicals?

@want2behappy31 "Missing" walks or exersize (wishing you had done it not skipping on purpose) is a great step in the right direction. And swimming is great exersize - lol I'm always hungry after though. Enjoy your walking :) the scale will be moving again soon.

Returned to a gym last night for the first time in about 15 years. I'm very excited to have won a 3 month membership to the gym by my house. I even got my husband to come with me. I have missed it- and have so many limitations now with my disability- but I am excited to do what I can. Starting VERY slowly lol Very excited…

@mischelem Great Ideas- I think I will start bead jars for myself and my husband. He has been logging everyday also- but I haven't been able to convince him to try the forums yet.

Um- probably call the doctor if I lost it instantly! Lol If you could have one piece of fitness equipment delivered to you at no charge what would it be? [/quote] I would love to have my own Treadmill Glasses, Contacts, Great vision without, or?

@divinekittycat Sent a request your way. No fencing at my schools- that would have been fun! I am also quite ambidexterous myself- If I get to learn fencing or sword fighting someday It will come in quite handy :). (I do have 2 baseball gloves for playing catch lol)
