I started at 306lbs and now I'm down almost 40lbs!! I do Zumba (without jumping), walking, elliptical, and anything aqua related (aqua fitness). As long as I stay off stairs and jumping my knees are good! Best of luck with your loss journey!

I have a similar problem with depression. Honestly if I can't go out of the house I force myself to walk around the inside of my house or walk in place while watch tv (helps me keep my mind busy)! I really force it. I know how hard it is to deal, but im sure you got it! Best of luck

I started at 306lbs- I'm looking to lose 100 and then once I reach that another 50  its a long road but well worth it! Feel free to add me!

I had to start at 1lb a week (I have about 150 to lose). 2lbs was too hard of a shock for me. That being said do what is comfortable with you  if you feel hungry, lower your goal to 1lb / week, or exercise so you can eat more!

I'm 279lbs, and my goal for -2lbs a week is 1400/day, so I think it seems a bit low cal for you based off of your weight

Again, water! Or health snacks (carrots, pears, apples- I like crunch!). Are you on the right pills? It can take a bit to find the ones that work for you! I've been on mine for about 8 years now but never noticed a weight gain from them (though I have defiantly gained from my lack of activity during depression). Now I…

When I started MFP I was always hungry too- I had to increase my water intake, snack ever 2-3 hrs (fruits or veg), and eventually exercise to increase how much I am allowed a day! I hope this helps you

I'm 18lbs down, I would love to lose 150lbs more!! HW was 306lbs! Feel free to add me
-
So much of this! Little goals to make you feel accomplished! Talking to close friends and family! And also, doing a hobbie (mine is painting! ). One day at a time!
-
This is also my motto  in all aspects of my life!!!!

Hi Hannah, welcome!!!! I have a fair bit to lose as well (I want to lose 150lbs), congrats on your loss! Feel free to add me if you need support

There is a MFP group: Losing 100+ Pounds Naturally (No Surgery) if you are interested  I have over 1/2 my body weight to lose too (I started at 306lbs and am only a short lil lady). I try to drink lots of water, but I don't deny something if I really really want it- I just try to do moderation. If I denied myself I…

I also have recently started over, 2 years ago I was over 20lbs lighter when I started MFP. Its a real scare / wake up call to have gotten on a scale and seen that jump!! My knees are also terrible (even before all the weight)- I find the elliptical so easy on them, that and water zumba. Also I do a lot of low impact zumba…

its 10:30pm here and I am about to eat so I also don't stuff my face in the morning! I try not to skip meal / snack time- otherwise I don't feel hungry until supper and I gorge all of the junk :(

Everyone goes over now and then! No problem, no big deal!!!!

Like completely cutting out carbs 100%? Or doing low? I think vanmep has the right list

Im 5'2 (ish- lol!! I feel like I have shrunk), 29, and am aiming to lose 150lbs over a long journey. Right now I am concentrating on the first 100lbs!

Feel free to add me as a friend :) I am fun (just a little weird)!!!

My sister was also diagnosed with pre-diabetes. She changed her diet, exercised, and lost the weight! I am trying to go the same route as her and it appears you are too :) my suggestion is change one this first (ie diet) and then after a couple of weeks change your exercise (ie start 20-30mins a day). I found this helped…

I have defiantly fallen off the wagon too! Glad you are back and committed :) Take it slow and steady!
-
I set my loss to 1lb / week instead of 2, I was way too hungry with that little calories! Exercising will add to your daily allowable calories too! Up that H2O and good luck
-
My sister lost over 200lbs just by changing her diet and exercising (no surgery!). I am now on a similar path (I want to lost 100lbs and then another 50lbs after I reach that first goal) and am just starting my journey  I have changed my diet, eat less, eat more often, and try to exercise everyday. My advice: try…

Thanks everone! I honestly never considered lowering my goal loss, which is currently at 2lbs a week. I am for sure going to try more fiber and low carb. I am off pop (have been for months) but really need to work on drinking more water! I think for now I may need to adjust the goal to get my body use to less!
-
I'm in the same boat! Small goals for sure!!

Me too!
