  • You can add me too! I think Laura.erin.cunningham@gmail.com will get you to me.
  • How exciting to see progress! Go you! I'm a bit late to this conversation, but 100 Days of Real Food was a helpful resource when I started to eat more cleanly. This site especially helped with the ratio of ingredients for smoothie making: http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/2013/12/26/green-smoothie-recipe/ As far a other…
  • Is it too late for me to sign up? I loved the spring one!
  • I've finished the first roadblock so far. I've lost 4ish pounds since the beginning of this challenge so I stuck two 2-pound hand weights in my work bag and toted that around on Wednesday. I also jogged in place with them (my go to quick workout to get steps in at the end of the day) on Thursday. I'll complete the yoga…
  • I had cherry tomatoes on a salad for dinner on Wednesday and Thursday this week. These were dinners where I really wanted comfort food - especially in the form of ice cream, which is in abundance at the cafeteria at the college I work at. But, I made the conscious decision to have fresh fruit and veggies to help me feel…
  • My accountability goal is to do a sugar detox for 5 out of 7 days this week. Sugar has crept in the past few weeks because of lazy decision making when I've been tired and because leftover Easter candy has been lurking in the pantry. I'll do what I normally do for a sugar correction - avoid processed food, sugars, and…
  • I was excited to read this!
  • I am so inspired by all of your posts! Unfortunately I did not take the time to do the pre-assessment at the beginning of the challenge so I don't have those metrics to show for my progress. I am down a few pounds, but my biggest victory so far is that I have stuck with this challenge. I am great at starting things but I…
  • Like many others on here, I use a lot of different spices already. There's a stir fry station at the cafeteria at work so i decided to try out one of those spices this week in that context. I chose lemon pepper with a chicken dish and it was good! I rarely use lemon pepper anyway and it was a nice treat. I forgot how good…
  • Hey everyone! What a week... probably my busiest one this semester. My eating hasn't been terrible but it also hasn't been on point. I would benefit from a break from sugar. And, my weight has fluctuated quite a bit (hormones?) which has been frustrating. I did a fair amount of cardio (and updated the spreadsheet) but…
  • I shared this on the other thread but I wanted for you all to see my response to my accountable response too. This has been a fun challenge for me and I've enjoyed being in your team! @lupie777 thanks for caring about us and for checking in. That's helped me be accountable. Things I've improved on and have been held…
  • I'm here! I've worked out about my normal amount so far this week, but I haven't done much more than cardio. I'm planning to do the kettlebell challenge today, have about 10 miles left for the marathon challenge, and only have one more cabbage/fish to eat which will be easy (I might have sushi tomorrow and I'm really…
  • Things I've improved on and have been held accountable to: 1. increasing water intake 2. working out consistently 3. connecting with others on MFP. I only had 2 friends on here before this! Things I'd like to improve and to be held accountable to: 1. I struggle with consistency. I like to start things, but don't carry them…
  • @Melodieccurn - thanks so much for your work on all of this!
  • It's been a loong day of meetings and work. I feel a bit guilty for not getting a work out in but sleep is calling my name. Tomorrow's another day...
  • It would make sense if they grouped some teams together. As long as Happy Feet isn't split up, I'm game for it! @mpgundrum, I hope this week will be better for you, too!
  • It's not just you. I don't see them either. It may be a little sad how excited I am to see what our challenges are every week. ;)
  • I'd love to be a part of a weekly challenge like that but I'm having a hard time finding that group. I searched for it and over 1000 options came up and I could narrow it down. How can I find you?
  • I had a similar issue with MFP syncing with FitBit this week and it drove me crazy. I checked out my settings and it had my birthyear as 1000 (or something) and I corrected that. I also disconnected and then reconnected my FitBit to MFP (go to "Apps & Devices" section and then "My Apps"). Both of those things have resolved…
  • We can do this! The number of miles needed this week is about what we have done for the other weeks. I think we can pull it off. And, if nothing else, the dorm I work in is hosting a dance on Saturday. I'll just dance for all three hours and earn more miles for us. ;)
  • Hey! This week is going fine for me. I'm adjusting back to work after being off last week. I got a migraine last night so I didn't get as many exercise minutes in as I anticipated. But I feel better today and plan to jump back into my routine.
  • Just in case my previous post wasn't up to snuff... Favorite foods: Most of my favorite foods are pretty healthy to begin with. I love all sorts of produce: sugar snap peas, fruit and veggie smoothies, crisp coleslaw, apples, etc. I also like pop corn, cereal, and peanut butter. I also love a good cup of coffee with half…
  • Both look so good - thanks for sharing! Now to go to the grocery store...
  • I love faro, too! And, that chicken fajita salad sounds amazing!
  • That's exciting! Do you have any suggestions of what foods and/or recipies to try for that roadblock challenge?
  • I love, love, love veggies! I love their different textures and versatility. My stand-by vegetable is sugar snap peas. The crunchy texture and soft taste helps it to pair well with different things - hummus is my favorite.
  • Tacos are one of my favorites, too! I often cook for groups and it's one of the more allergy friendly/group friendly foods I've found!
  • I'm noticing this week that my cycle is off-kilter and I think this will affect my weigh in this week. This is the most consistent I've actually exercised in a long time and I think this is affecting it. Has anyone else experience this?
  • I had a stomach bug a few weeks ago and it took me out for almost a week! Last week's over and we've started a new one. Good luck!
  • Thanks for all of your work, fearless Team Leader!
