Anyone else think this was some sort of exercise from the title? :/

Running 4 days a week, Kettleworks (worx?) the other three.

Depends; you using a scale? Logging?

Try coffee; I like it as it sharpens me up on the way to the lab without overdoing it, plus it's a lot cheaper to boot.

Now I'm back running, to help my pace. Also I'm ugly *kitten*, no sense being fat on top of that

Other than the weight loss issue this sounds a bit close to home; I drink pretty much every night, never to the point it affects my home life or work, but it's there. I can work it into CICO easily enough, but it's always at the back of my mind. It all comes down to stress, and unless I end my job, TU post, degree,…

The accuracy's not as bad as some people make out, but I have a lot of problems with locking on and dropping signal, in the middle of Victoria Park, which is hardly nestled away.

Kettleworx. Bloody hell it's tough (then again I got a clearance pack that's too high level and too heavy a KB, so I'll need a couple of cycles to grok it).

Been using Polar for years, and recently got an M400. Bloody love it, although the GPS is a little iffy.
-
3.5 Mi Recovery run, only intended to do 2 but managed to keep HR in the paint longer than I expected.

Killing Fields - Sabaton, great pacing. Me Against the World - Simple Plan, I'm a F**kup, chorus suits me fine.

Best say it sooner rather than later; you can't spot reduce. That belly will only go if you get calories in < calories out, regardless of the exercises you do. Find a routine you like, find a diet you like, stick to them and you should do fine. There's plenty of well-versed peeps on this forum (Disclaimer: I'm not one of…

Nope, a) NHS services don't exist here for my demographic, and b) It took 10 years for someone to give me a chance at a job (despite being valedictorian) with just Aspergers, add any sort of depression diagnosis to that and I'm back to square one. Ironically I'm a support worker so my 9-5 is picking people up and pushing…

Thanks man, It was never about the weight; if anything I'm going against the grain as my dad and granddad were both huge, muscular guys; I started getting the same in college football and hated how it slowed me down so fought against it. Right now I'm trying to keep the BF% down physically, and stop feeling like a drain on…

Try working in student support, you don't get fed at work It's all about working that deficit, as people have already said. Just go in armed with your trusty MFP app and keep an eye on things. Even so one day over won't derail your whole plan while you're getting back into work routine. This is the long game, the war; if…

Upwords? Haven't seen that since I was a kid.

Go and get a gait analysis done at a proper running store; they'll take the time to fit you up properly, and usually the analysis is free if you buy the shoes after. I've got really screwy ankles, so running was always painful; properly fitted/supported shoes make a HUGE difference.

3.5 Mile run, though it was so hot I had to break my "no shorts ever" rule :(
-
Just as a follow up; tried going with a Lucozade about 20 mins before heading out and it's made a huge difference (I'm terrible at keeping my carbs up too so it figures), just need to find a cheap powder equivalent. Also: Not sure if you can get it in your neck of the woods, but High5 do these zero cal electrolyte tabs you…

Leicester; famous for junk food, the wrong rugby code and now some dead guy.

Carer for my fiancée, work in student support and I'm the branch sec/EO for our union, so I don't really have time for much more than staying functional and keeping up with my degrees.

Leicester, jewel of the East Midlands (Or not)

I hate everything about myself, and this is the easiest thing to change.

That's one of the BeachBody programs right? Got P90X on the cheap a few years back, but it wasn't really compatible with a degree, job and being a carer, plus the diet was a real PITA, and lifting gets boring real fast. Interested in finding a program that mixes things up a bit more, and isn't so strict on the food side of…

Thanks All, I should probably elaborate; normally I eat far too much starchy stuff (rice/bread/dry cereal mainly) and when I'm stressed (which is far too often). When I'm training (which makes me a *lot* better mentally, so I'm loathe to stop) I stop feeling like eating, period, but crave protein. Weird I know. In both…

Kettlebell circuits (dribble lunges, catapults, jumps) I hate anything sit-uppy, it's murder on my back.

Tabletop games/boardgames

Yep, tabletop

Nice to see some tabletop love over here \m/ Mainly into wargames & grand strat. (ASL, AWAW, Fed Commander), with an honourable mention for Combat Commander for being easy to get to the table. The hobby's practically dead here though (save for a particularly obnoxious Uni Soc.) so my better half pretty much dictates…
