  • I'm 5'10" and 148 lbs., and I went from a size 14 to a size 8. But not all size 8s are the same. You just have to get out there and try things on.
  • Once I bought a food scale, I realized that I was eating more calories than I thought I was. What I thought was 4 oz. of grilled chicken was actually closer to 6 oz. and a lot more calories. Things turned around after that, and I began to lose again. You need to know exactly what you are eating.
  • I'm on MFP every day. Add me as a friend!
  • Austin, TX here. Add me as a friend!
  • Add me as a friend! I'm 46 and have been using MFP since early March. I've lost 22 lbs. with a goal of 25-30 lbs. to lose. Nothing has ever worked for me until I began using MFP. My best advice is to be patient. This is a process with the occasional setbacks, but as long as you are committed to the process, you will find…
  • When I started MFP, I felt hungry every day for about 2-3 weeks, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to stick with it. But one day, I just stopped feeling so hungry. My new diet was enough to keep me satisfied. I agree with lemurcat12...lack of sleep can really mess with your hunger. I make poor food choices when I'm…
  • I'm in the leftover camp, as well. For lunch, I might have leftover grilled chicken or salmon on top of spinach or lettuce, loads of other veggies added, with balsamic or Dijon dressing. My lunches rarely surpass 300 calories, and the salads are always filling and satisfying.
  • Sure. I'm using Culturelle for digestive health in the yellow box. My husband was using it with great success so I decided to try it. I agree, there are so many brands to choose from. I tried one brand that had to be kept refrigerated and it did nothing for me. You just have to find what works best for you.
  • Glad you asked. I started taking a probiotic since bad gut health can affect weight loss. I also am trying to stay away from processed foods and eating whole foods like grilled chicken and salads with loads of fresh veggies. I joined a farm to work program so I can get access to organic produce. I drink as much water as I…
  • I also felt like I was really hungry for the first 2 weeks, but it does get better. I think MFP suggests exactly the calories needed to lose weight because it appears to be working. I didn't realize how much I was overeating before. Stick with it and you will see results. You can do it!

  • You can do it! I'm in week 4. You become more of a mindful eater with this app, which helps you make better food choices.
  • I also work full time, married, with 8 yo son. It's been a challenge to watch what I eat because I LOVE food. Also have little time for exercise, but squeeze in one 45 min. spin class per week. Been using MFP for 29 days and have lost 12 lbs. so far. Goal was 15 lbs., but wasn't sure I could even do that, so now revising…
  • Im also having a hard time finding support from my family. They don't like the idea of eating healthier since it means more veggies and less meat, fewer noodles and chicken nuggets, and even fewer desserts. I feel like I'm doing this thing alone because they can't relate.
  • Howdy from the Lone Star State! I'm so glad you chose to join MFP. I've been using this app for 4 weeks now, and I've lost 12 lbs.! My initial goal was to lose 15 lbs, and now I'm going to revise that to 20 lbs. I, too have been trying to make a healthy lifestyle change in regard to food. I am trying to eat whole foods…
