  • Just took shot 7. Still not really losing weight. About 4 lbs since I started. Glucose drastically dropped when I first started and it has stayed much lower than it had been. My 7-day average this week is 119. So I’m very happy about that. Hopefully the weight loss will pick up one of these days. I definitely have some…
  • so glad to hear it!!!
  • I actually gained a couple of lbs this week, making my May total only -3. It’s my first month on Mounjaro and seems really low to me, but my average glucose has dropped A LOT. 7-day average was 190, the day of my first shot and is 127 today. Waist measurement is down 2”. The scale only tells part of the story!
  • Congrats on getting under 200! Thats awesome!
  • Week 3 = 239.2 lb. Down 5.1 total. Average daily glucose = 110. Down from 190!!! I couldn’t be happier.
  • I’ve only been on MJ a couple of weeks, but have experienced hair loss for a long time. Multiple doctors said it was hormone and age related, and didn’t offer any advice. As to not washing every day, I do believe that helps, as well as being gentle to your scalp and not using tight buns or tight pony tails. Try not to get…
  • I’m 5’3” and shoot for 1200 cal/day. I shoot for 100g of protein and less than 20g of carbs. Thats basically a keto diet. No breads, no potatoes, no sugar. Good luck!
  • I had to look it up, too! ;)
  • I’ve heard it said that each 20 lbs is a size. I cannot confirm that. I know body composition changes with weight loss. If you are building muscle your shape may change and affect fit, too. Are you taking pics? Maybe you’ll see the change, even if you don’t feel it?
  • I understand your frustration. when I still had a period, I ALWAYS gained a pound the week before. It was so defeating. And don’t forget that muscle weighs more than fat, so all that rock hauling probably changed some of your body composition. Look at pictures. Put on an old pair of pants. Measure your waist. You might…
  • Do any of you take supplements? Which do you recommend?
  • Week 2 check-in: I lost .7 lbs this week, 2.2 lbs total. No noticeable side effects other than my glucose going DOWN! Yay. That’s what it’s all about for me. My average this week was 129 down from 190 when I started. I use a Freestyle Libre 3 CGM, 2.5 mg Mounjaro, and low carb diet. It was an emotionally charged week…
  • singer songwriter
  • happy to have found a group in the same boat as me. No time to chat this morning but know that I am rowing right along with you.
  • what blood tests showed “low metabolism”?
  • I started 6 days ago. I was afraid too but eager to get my A1C down. And it’s working!!! I have had no side effects, and I feel full most of the time. I wear a continuous glucose monitor and for the first time in years I have readings at or below 100. The highest this week has been around 180. My average for 7 days is 131.…
  • I started on Mounjaro yesterday. I’m nervous, as I hate meds of any kind. I’m almost 64 weigh 244 lbs and have had diabetes about 10 years. I’ve tried a few different meds but the only thing that really worked for me was to eat very low carb. I just can’t kick the sweets and my A1C is back up to 7.7. Doc convinced me to…
  • congrats!
  • If she's like me, she needs a cheerleader. Help her break the cycle of celebrating and socializing with food. I think it's one of my biggest hurdles. When I get with my friends, we sit around and eat, or go out and eat. I need someone to help me shift my focus toward doing healthy things instead of eating all the wrong…
  • 5'2", 250 lbs, with a desk job. I want to drop 50 in 2020. MFP has my daily goal at 1600, but we know that's too high. I'm trying to ease into it, but probably won't see real progress unless I get closer to 1400 and/or add more exercise. Started with a 30 minute treadmill walk last night. Feel free to send friend request.
  • I can't imagine you'll lose much if you eat much more than 1700 - but every person is different. Make smart, nutritious food choices with your 1700 budget and make sure you're getting the nutrition and your baby need! Here's something that might help. http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mothers-diet/mom-weightloss/ google "can i…

  • "You've done well" is an UNDERSTATEMENT!!! You've done REALLY WELL!!! I'm a young 55 - and u can see my story on my profile. I am making slow, but steady, progress. I've made and am still making a LOT of changes and am really enjoying my new healthy lifestyle. Most recently, I started doing yard work, and I love it! I'm…
  • My husband and I play TESO on PS4. I've lost 25 lbs since March, and have 109 to go. He can share his numbers with you, but we're all in the same boat.
