You may find an elliptical is easier on your knee than walking. It really depends, but when mine is bad I can sometimes use my elliptical when walking bothers it.

I'm losing 5-6 lbs a month without a scale and I very rarely use measuring cups or spoons either. I do suspect that once I get closer to goal I may need to get a scale. But I tend to eat a lot of the same stuff. If I measure something once I'm good eyeballing it the next time I eat it:

Omg this. I find it so hard to admit that this has been easy for me this time. Partly because I think if it's so easy why did I give up so soon all my last attempts and how did I let myself get so big in the first place?!

It sucks, when we work so hard to lose it but In all likelyhood that 10lb gain will drop by 1/2 or more after a few days back on track. Just move past it and forgive yourself

Yoga and Pilates require a lot of core work and will likely cause you considerable pain at this point. I suggest you see a physiotherapist.

I log it and use my food notes to jot down what was going on. Since this is a lifestyle change I figure that there will always be days I don't make the best food decisions but if most of them are good then I feel like it's ok.

I am doing a body weight circuit using a tabata app high intesity for short periods with shorter rests. So right now I do moderate lifting one day then the next day I do a body weight circuit then the following day another strength workout. Then a rest/cardio day. So three days on one off. I'm losing about 5-6lbs a month…

But can I preserve muscle mass I have if I lift moderately heavy weight with more reps? I am definitely lifting less than my potential with squats and deadlifts but I have been increasing the weight. I am planning on going to a trainer in the fall when I am closer to my goal weight as I want to have someone experienced…
