Down 55, 15 to go!

I love your advice! It's exactly what I tell people that ask me what I'm doing. Congrats on not only losing the weight but keeping it off!!

I weigh daily and track on happy scale to watch for trends. It was hard at first because iof fluctuations but I am much more in tune with my body than I was in the past. I know high sodium days or near TOM will have gains that disappear within a couple days.

Almost exactly a year apart. 50lbs down, 20 to go.

Super ideas! I don't love outcome goals and I've been trying to avoid them as well. But process goals are fantastic! I'm a year in and have lost 50 (when I started last January I did have and outcome goal to lose 40, so I exceeded my goal! And without doing anything crazy!!)

I am struggling with the same thing. Trying to decide between a Fitbit surge and the polar a360 which doesn't have GPS but looks awesome and has everything else I need.

Congrats! You look great!

I am taking a diet break, partly because I've been eating at deficit for over 10 months and figured that the holidays would be a good time to try and figure out my maintenance. I have been set for 500 a day deficit this week is 250, next week, 125 then adding back the othe 125 for a week. If I'm brave enough I may increase…

Thank you <3

If it fits in your goals then it really is fine. But...., I do know what you are talking about. Maybe you were being to restrictive before, which is why you are having a hard time going back to those habits. 3lbs a week is great when you are obese but it's not a great way to continue losing weight if you are trying to…

I think you should, i have an old co-worker that started posting some of her meals, then her runs, you could see that alot of what she liked and commented on were health and fitness pages. Some of them i started following or reading for inspiration. I havent posted much on facebook, but i did start posting some post…

Sarah it has been tempting to increase my deficit and try to lose the weight faster, but I had a friend say that the longer it takes the longer I have to make all these changes habits that will stick once I hit maintenance. I try to remember that when I start feeling impatient :)

I am not American so not currently celebrating holidays but just wanted to say I hope you are feeling a little better about things. Maybe since you know that holidays will be more difficult for you with your daughter away you could find something to do. They have lots of great colouring books for adults now, or perhaps…

I am set to 1lb a week and have been since I started in January. I had over 60lbs to lose I'm down 51 now. I think when I started I had around 1560 cals a day at sedentary and I ate back most of my exercise cals. I am now set as lightly active as I've made some permanent changes to my lifestyle, so I get 1470 cals a day…

Thank you!!

Well done!

It was a culmination of things, we came home from a trip and my husbands aunt and uncle who are 15 years older than me ran circles around us. I just was tired of being fat and self conscious so i committed to start MFP again. I gave myself a goal of losing 40 lbs in 2015 and promised myself I was not going to go overboard…

For the first time ever I wore a dress to work today. And I wasn't self concious or uncomfortable.

Lightly active is about 7500 steps a day so you should be set to that at minimum and you should have negative adjustments set up. I also eat 80-100% of my exercise cals. I'm comfortable with 100% of what Fitbit gives me, I adjust down for some of the other exercise I manually enter. You will have to experiment to figure…

That reads like my 60days of summer except I had way more booze and icecream! But still lost 9lbs in 2 months. Imperfection is the only reason I have been able to do this. Kudos to you!

I have been feeling frustration with the scale since it has just been hovering around the same spot for 18 days. But yesterday I realized that I had to put my wedding band away because it's in danger of falling off, my jeans were feeling looser and I quit smoking 14 days ago and haven't gained any weight.

Love SCAMWOO. I need to forward this to a friend doing a 2 day isagenix cleanse:)

I've had that happen a few times I am set to lose 1 a week and I'll lose 2-3 lbs in a few days after a 10 day stall then stall again. Weight loss isn't linear. After my last multiple days in a row loss I jumped back up for a week. Sometimes I can relate it to a change in workouts, TOM or eating out but not always. I weigh…

This is excellent, to be honest it's a huge NSV on its own, you are setting a great example for your kids!!

I had two today, I've dropped a ring size and I fit into a size 8 pant with no muffin top. Now the store I bought them from is generous in their sizing so as much as I'm excited it's not a real 8, but considering I was buying 16's from there in January it was pretty sweet! They actually looked fantastic but I didn't buy…

Maybe it's worth having a conversation about it. You do want them growing up with a healthy relationship with food. It may just come down to concern if they don't see you eating because you eat at different times. At least you can find out and quell any fears

I'm 5'6 mid forties fairly active currently 168lbs and mfp has me at 1490 cals a day to lose one pound a week. I am set up as lightly active and I eat back most of my exercise cals so eating 1700-1900 a day and losing on average 1.25lbs a week. I'm figuring that once I hit goal my tdee will be over 2000 a day. Note that if…

Haha that was totally me all the time and then one day all of a sudden my hubs was like whoa! That's a real muscle!
