Thanks very helpful! I didn't realize that adding reps or sets would do the same as adding additional weight!!

I started lifting weights this year and I'm wondering if I have to keep increasing the weight I lift? I'm not worried about getting bulky but I have terrible knees and a back issue so I am more concerned about injury. For example I'm currently doing 3 sets of 10 barbell squats at 90lbs, I can't squat much more than 90…

Week 3 workout 1 of c25k done and even better turned the second 3minute run into 5 minutes!! I ran 5 minutes without stopping!!

+1 And like @lemurcat12 said what I dislike about the once every week or two is if your weigh in day happens to be on an up fluctuation then it's easy to get discouraged thinking you've lost nothing. With daily weighing though i think it's important to track the data to get a clear picture of where you are going.

I am just about to turn 46 and I've lost 43lbs since January. We went on a trip and one day when I had 20k steps but was absolutely wiped out at 10pm I realized that if I want to do fun things and feel confident again I needed to make a change. I set myself up to lose 1lb a week and I eat back most of my exercise calories.…

4 weeks and 7lbs is great work, but tbh I didn't really notice a difference in the way I looked until I hit about 15lbs. Clothes felt different by 10, but otherwise not much of a change. Most others didn't start noticing til I hit 20. Give it time and be patient. I'm down just over 40 since January and some days I look in…

I have a friend from high school I had to block on FB and Instagram because of the non stop promotion. It is isa everything, and she was just in San Diego as well. They must be doing some super promo now with back to school because I finally unfollowed the Instagram this week. I keep wanting to comment on her posts to tell…

Haha sounds like mine. He also thinks it's hilarious to pants me because all my pants are so loose!

My thoughts exactly!

Ppl get a little to caught up in being in the red. Some days you will go over, provided it's not all the time and it's not by thousands of calories then you are likely still in a deficit. I look at it this way. I am on a 1lb a week loss so 500 cals a day is my deficit. If I'm in the red 250 cals I am still eating at a…

Oh a prediction based on your past 7 days would be so much better!!

For me it tends to be fairly accurate. 7 months in and it matches up with my happy scale app predictions most of the time. I don't pay too much attention though. Some days I'm not particularly hungry or I leave some calories on the table cause I know I have a meal out coming up and I see some # that would be nice but then…

Amazing!! Whoop whoop!!

Good articles I had seen one not the other. Based on these I am not really in diet break territory. I had seen some ppl saying that you should take them every three months and lots of comments about boosting metabolism. My metabolism seems to be fine. I still have 27lbs to go to healthy bmi so I will save the break until I…

For kicks I decided to look at c25k today when I got on the treadmill and then decided to try it and I did it! I was grinning like and idiot when I finished. I hadn't really though much about running lately due to unrepaired acl tears and osteoarthritis I one knee. But it was fine. Super pumped. Need some running shoes!!

Great replies thanks everyone!

Thanks for the comments. It sounds like most of you are on the same page. Just keep on keeping on unless I need a break. And to be honest I really have been taking daily breaks throughout the summer. Arditarose I will watch the vid when I have a chance for some reason I am getting no sound when I open it on my phone.…

Roasted chickpeas are good and crunchy!

Slightly abnormal liver function tests with no symptoms are not usually a concern. Abnormal test results with the symptoms you've listed are a problem. Have you had an ultrasound as well? Were you already yellow when you saw the doctor?

I'm glad you brought this back to life!

Wow! Great job!

I weigh daily first thing after using the bathroom in the buff and track in happy scale to watch for trends. It goes up and down but the trend is down so all is good. It's not for everyone but because weight fluctuates so much I would hate if my one day I got on the scale was the up day instead of the day I'm down. There…

Maple syrup, chopped nuts, toasted coconut, raspberries. One of my mfp friends mixes jam in hers so I keep meaning to try that.

I have my negative adjustments set up on my Fitbit so I start my day needing to get a couple thousand steps in before they start counting but I usually walk about 5.5km an hour. I actually watched a clip with one of the researchers who said that there isn't any evidence that people being overweight is caused by overeating,…
