Your job sounds awful. Find a better one. Your life choices dictate your success. If you chose badly, learn from it and change. If you chose to continue then don't blame the job for your inability to have success. The responsibility is entirely on you.

Merrell and Vibram have been my favorites. Right now my most favorite is a pair of handmade moccasins. But those are not reasonably priced. I can usually get Merrells on Amazon for around $40.

I ride some and trim hooves ob the weekends. I also have a highly active job taking care of monkeys. I burn A LOT of calories in a day. Used to wonder how it was I wasn't losing weight. Until I got a food scale and started using MFP and realised just how much food I was actually eating. I still eat a lot but it is a lot…

Lab tech in a Neuroscience research facility. They pay me to play with the monkeys. :)

This is a psychological issue so your Dr can't really help you overcome the problem.

Being nervous when you are just starting out in anything is normal. Confidence comes with experience. Your nerves will pass as you start working and realise that you actually do know what you are doing. :)

OMG Chicken friend steak, biscuits and gravy. All of the yummy foods you have down there are hard to resist. I think most cultures do have their food challenges. In Pittsburg we have Pierogies and sausages and sandwiches and salads with french fries on them. Growing up in your culture and with the food can certainly be a…

LIke others said log what you do manage to eat. Keep the habit. But don't worry to much about the numbers. When I am sick I like to have very thin soups or broths and lots of tea. Chicken broth is very soothing to sore throats and good for you.

To be a better version of myself at the end of the day, than I was at the beginning.

Two old dogs live with me. Merri, a Mountain Cur, and Pippin a Chihua-what. They are both 13 years old and both were shelter dogs. Also a Russian Blue kitty named Chloe and a Betta named Mr Redfish. My horse, an American Standardbred named Baby, doesn't share the apartment. She has her own place at an equine community…

I only wanted to work with animals. Primarily horses. A veterinarian or horse trainer were what I thought I wanted to be. Could not make the kind of grades to go to school to be a vet, plus could never have afforded the schooling. I did become a professional horse trainer for a time. Have also worked as a veterinary…

I gave pedicures to seven horses today. My evening plan is to rest, watch some tv, and go to bed.

Use a wooden practice sword that is heavier than your show sword and practice practice practice. 1,000 cuts a day. As my sensei says. Cut until you are bored to death and then keep cutting. Cut until your arms hurt and keep cutting. If you want to get good at swinging a sword you swing a sword until you get good at it.

A food scale will be your best friend on this journey. Weigh the eggs in the shell. Cook your egg. Weigh the shells and subtract. Enter the resulting number in grams under the USDA egg, whole raw entry.

Currently sitting at 250. In 1999 I was 340 or thereabouts(my scale only went to 300 at the time). Been losing very slowly for a long time. In the past year I've dropped 30ish. Lowest weight this year was 243 but vacation and a injury have slowed me up. Right now my only goal is to get to Onederland. There is no hurry no…

Hoarding food. I grew up very poor and for quite a few years of adulthood as well. I lived on ramen and pasta and dollar store food for a long time. Now life is better and I can afford to eat fairly well. For me the hard thing is to realise that I can go and buy more food in a week so I don't have to have the kitchen…

Weight loss is not linear dear. :) You have lost 6 pounds. That's wonderful! Keep going.

I rarely have trouble getting to my 12k step goal because my job keeps me moving all day. But sometimes I don't even come close. It doesn't bother me that much but it does motivate me to at least move a little more. The whole point of the Fitbit is to motivate you to move more because it is good for our health. I don't…

The steaks are wonderful for making stew and stir fry. Marinating with an italian dressing makes it tender and juicy and very delicious add in some worcestershire and soy sauce for a good stew or stir fry base. Be sure to trim any fat as that is where the gaminess tends to come from.

USDA corn, cooked, boiled http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/calorie-chart-nutrition-facts Weigh the ear before you eat it and the cob after and subtract. The difference is what you ate.

If you aren't going to east your cake... can I have it?

Have the chips and crackers in portions that fit your calorie goals. I find a small amount of something really good is more satisfying than filling up on some alternative item that doesn't scratch the itch. If I want chips I have my portion or two of chips (buy a small 1-2 serving bag) and some good salsa. The salsa is…

I made a delicious cauliflower soup by cooking a head of it in chicken stock until tender then pureeing until smooth and adding a can of condensed cheese soup. It was very low calorie and really good.

Consider this. You can't control how other people behave. You can only control how you respond to them. Change your focus.

My fitbit Charge HR automatically tracks workouts, so I don't log them anymore.

Dinner is my largest meal but if I were able I would prefer it to be lunch.
