I would read on the effects of alcohol on the metabolism. Since alcohol cannot be stored in the body it must be processed and your liver will be working on that and not the food you have consumed. Google it and read from a reputable web site :)

From my limited understanding, the natural sugars in honey are supposedly easier for your body to use over the processed sugars in white sugar but that may be a negligible amount.
