As 2snakeswoman said, just start logging. I thought I was eating a good balance but was surprised at the number of calories I was consuming. Look at the calories, carbs, proteins, etc that MFP tells you to eat and scale back to meet those limits.

I am new to myfitnesspal. In 2 months I have lost 24 lbs, just by tracking my food and staying within the calorie limit. I also kept thinking it was a joke, or maybe I am really sick or something. How can just cutting back on calories be the answer???? I still am amazed.

Yes, track everything. I didn't realize how many calories i was eating in my "healthy" diet. It all comes down to eating too many calories.
