Sounds unsustainable, but hope it works for you.

I use Six Star chocolate. 30g of protein in a 38g serving size, and only 3g carbs. I add 6oz 1% milk, 1/2 a frozen banana (55 grams), a tablespoon of ground flax seed, and a tablespoon of peanut butter for a meal replacement shake when the mood or need arises. 375 calories, 42g protein, 30g carbs, 5g fiber, and 12g fat.

Just say no... ;)

I often have to drive 60-100 miles each way to get to my assigned job for the day. Throwing a protein bar or an Atkins Harvest bar into my backpack makes it easy to say no to the convince store stop for a bag of chips.

Isn't it just basic math?

This. I always put a piece of paper towel on top of the container I store my greens in. They last a lot longer.

Don't diet. Make small, incremental changes, slowly, over time, and they will become a lifestyle. Don't deprive yourself what you enjoy, just be smart about portions and frequency. Most of all, find a way to get moving. It's amazing how much easier loosing weight will become!

Like others have said, I swapped sugars for fiber in my macros, and try to hit at least 30 grams a day.

I had an inguinal hernia repaired in June. Doc wanted me to start walking (easy pace) the next day, or as soon as I felt up to it. Walked 2 miles the day after surgery and felt great. But no running or resistance training for 8 weeks.

Will be 55 this year, lost 110 pounds, and weigh less than I did when I graduated High School (1979). Tho I was a very good baseball player back then, and had a few college offers to play, I'd say I'm in better shape now, in spite of other health issues.

I try to pre plan my dinners a week to 10 days in advance. Most if the recipe's I use are loaded into a program I have called Master Cook, which, if you add it accurately, gives a usable nutrition summary. I then pre-log those meals into MFP and fine tune depending on portion sizes.

Before...310 pounds After...197 pounds, with 7-10 more to go

You can add me if you want. No pro chef, but I love to cook and trade recipes, log every day, and workout 5-6 times a week (mostly walking/running and some HIIT resistance training). In my 4 year journey I've lost 110 pounds, and no longer have to use injectable insulin for my type 2 diabetes.

This is what I would suggest. My ex has RA. Get the proper treatment as quickly as possible. The destruction it can and will cause is worse than taking medication.

Similar story, and YES IT CAN BE DONE!!!
