In that case, the possibilities are endless. Protein waffles or pancakes, eggs, Greek yogurt, oatmeal mixed with protein powder and/or pb (or protein shake w/ oats and/or pb--whatever your preference for texture and consistency is), protein shake or bar. Really I could go on and on. Eggs with salsa are my go to if I'm…

What about carbs?

I liked the B-Up sugar cookie better than any quest bar I've tried (and I've tried them all); however, the peanut butter was pretty gross, imo. Fit crunch is pretty tasty, but if you really want a delicious protein bar, try Pure Protein salted caramel.

First....Congrats on the loss! :) That's awesome! You can't gain muscle on a deficit. It's science. However, if you are eating a good ratio of protein/carbs/fats like you are, you can definitely make strength gains. Sometimes people confuse that with muscle gain. Either way, you're doing great. :)

I needed this! Thank you and congrats!

War Eagle to that! :)

We need a veteran MFP'er to address this idea of "jump starting" one's diet.

Cute pic! :)

Well, this derailed quickly.

The Rock has stretch marks on his shoulders. I don't mind seeing him shirtless. Just saying.

Face pull and cable one arm lateral raise...I, too, love shoulder day.

Jefit app keeps me entertained. :)

I use Dymatize ISO-100 or Intek Evolution. I've yet to try it but I hear good things about BPI.

For me, I would be upset if my spouse posted a thread on here airing all his grievances about me. What if OP talks to him tonight and he has some sort of epiphany and signs up for MFP only to stumble upon this? It's best to keep private matters private, imo.

For me, it has helped me be more aware of my protein-fat-carb intake and the benefits of each. I was totally clueless about that stuff when I was just counting calories.

I don't know about the Costco thing. I had a sample of their red velvet cupcake and a quarter of that darn thing was over 100 calories (I over guesstimated to be safe).

Mine is open to the public. Feel free to take a look anytime. :)

Like someone else hinted at, protein powder is meant to help you meet your protein quota for the day. However, I really like Dymatize ISO-100 fudge brownie flavor. It's *almost* like drinking brownie batter, if you're into that kinda thing. You should also do some research. Not all protein powders are created equally. :)

Cookies and creme...yum yum yum The only one I've tried and didn't care for is the Lemon Creme Pie.

Great job! :)

Personally I don't even worry about how many calories I've burned during exercise. I simply weigh and log all my food and make a good daily effort to stay within my calories and *try* to meet my macros. I do have a polar I wear occasionally just to see what I burn, but I really have no way of knowing if it's truly accurate…

As some others have already stated, you should look into programs designed for those new to weightlifting. Bodybuilding.com is a great place to start as well as stronglifts. Right now, learning form is key, and imo, slow and steady is best. Good luck!

What kind of weight training are you doing?

Well done! :-)

Bodybuilding.com I really messed that up lol :D Oh, and it's also free

You have several options. Many people on here have had great success with the book _New Rules of Lifting For Women_, and I've also seen quite a few posts about Jamie Eason's Live Fit (this I believe you can look up for free online). Bobybuiding.com offers lots of different plans based on your goals. Personally, I use the…

I just started using Intek Evolution. It's pretty good. I also discovered Muscle Egg, which is pasteurized egg whites that are chocolate flavored. Sounds disgusting but they actually have a pretty decent taste. When mixed together, I get 55 grams of protein.

Great job! :)

You're doing great! :)
