This may sound really weird, but I only allow myself to shower after a workout. I workout every other day, then shower. If I'm feeling too lazy for a workout, then I just think of how gross I'd feel the next day before my workout then shower. I've missed a few days and I do feel pretty gross on day 3. I ate a bit over my calorie goal today, due to cherries, peanut butter and sunflower seeds. Managed to stay away from sugar though! This is really tough. I really reduced my sugar intake about a year ago too and it was a lot easier transition last time. Gah!

Well I didn't have any sugar today but was really craving it and went over my calorie allowance with peanut butter and sunflower seeds. Tomorrow will be better!

I'm still good on the sugar front. I've been having some blueberries and a few tbsp of natural peanut butter as snack/dessert. And staying within my calories!

Ta Dang chili paste is amazing with rice and veg dishes. za'atar is a nice mix to add to Moroccan curries or to roasted veggies. For Indian curries I make my own mix of spices - curry powder, turmeric, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger. Sriracha makes everything taste better.

Yesterday went well! Had some blueberries for dessert. Mid-afternoon is also tough for me, but I will have tea/coffee or fruit instead of chocolate. Keep it up!

I did Insanity Pure Cardio and manually checked my HR at few times, I averaged 150 bpm. My HRM measured 95. So mystery solved, my HRM is not very accurate. It looks like I will have to invest in a better one or just check it manually during workouts.

yep, a few pieces of dark chocolate a few times a week. And homemade cocoa powder/peanut butter pudding. Otherwise I will overeat it if I try and restrict myself entirely. Other sweets aren't really worth the calories for me so I very rarely eat them....just special occasions, usually when I visit my family.

Had a co-worker tell me that if she ate a lot of "bad calories" like poutine, burger, chips, then right after she'd eat even more "good calories" like avocado, peanut butter, kale, quinoa, sweet potatoes and thought the good calories would minus out the bad and she'd lose weight.
