Girls who do both. Haha

Don't ever listen when someone tells you that you can't do something. Believe in yourself and trust the process.

Please DO NOT EVER put any sort of plastic wrap over a tattoo with the exception of the hour directly post tattooing. You will sweat out your ink and trap in bacteria.

Home or in my car if I have a workout at a weird time. I don't take anything of value into the gym. No wallet, cell phone, etc. I do have an old phone I use as an mp3 player but that's it.

I would also recommend working with a trainer, at least at first, to help with things like form. OTF is a great program and basically fail proof. You're a woman so don't worry about lifting heavily and getting huge from it. I have record lifts and I don't think I'm bulky - yet. Haha

Is this a premium location? If so, may I ask where? I have a premium location and we don't charge those rates for even the unlimited classes. If it isn't opened yet you'll get founder's rates (beginning members) and should be even cheaper.

I'm sleeved and also have most of my right leg. I highly recommend waiting a week before going back to the gym because the skin is still broken and staph, among other bacterias that could screw you up, love to live in gyms. Antibacterial soap and unscented lotion my friend.

OT does not offer heavy weights. But they do have a great program that will get you results. I like that you get to track tour progress with the HRM.
Thank you...working on my new goal: 2 plates!
I remember the first time I hit two plates on all three major lifts. It was so beautiful I think I cried. Haha

Those numbers are nothing to be shy about!! I've seen big guys not deadlift 225. Haha

25 year old female powerlifter. Lifting almost a year and a half now and started lifting as a means to lose weight. Kinda just discovered I was pretty strong. I also have a powerlifting father, former world record holder though so no one be discouraged that I'm a newbie and strong lol.

What I wouldn't give to workout in a PL gym. I can and I should but I work for a chain and they're sponsoring my first meet so I can't quit just yet. Haha Nice pull, I'm definitely on your tail!
-
Thank you so much!!! I actually forgot about this thread, Haha!! Down 165 or so pounds now and going to break records in my upcoming power lifting meet!
-
Haha!! I prefer to do them standing because I can push off of my legs more. I bailed doing them seated
-
I got my first 'Ew she's gross" comment at the gym today. I feel like I'm a qualified monster now

Yes. I've been training several times a week with Lance Karabel (USPF President) and Ed Coan. Any particular reason you ask?

Okay, I'm going to do it. I'm going to compete!! November, 5th!! Still undecided if I want to compete at 181 or 165 though. Not sure I'll get the records at 165 but I know I will at 181

DEADLIFTS hit a PR and then shattered it!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq33FHkZsUQ

I've done a lot of stretches for them, against walls etc. I have carpal tunnel so I don't think it's something stretching can alleviate at this point :/

Thank you! My dad is a former powerlifter so I credit him for mine!
