I felt the same, was so scared. I have this fear of change I guess, and don't have much support. It seems like whenever I try to do something to better myself, others try to go & mess it up. I did great the first 2 weeks, then wanted to quit, but here I am, about 6 weeks later. MFP & friends help.

that's great! I am planning keto, but have been doing well with keeping up the protein, so not sure if high protein still ok.

I have very similar goals, and have a busy full schedule this month, including travel. I see my trainer 2 times per week, and workout -6-7 times per week. When I had a long day and don't have the time, I have a circuit routine I follow & go hard, only takes 15-20 mins and makes me feel so much better! (sleep better too).

my son is in Atlanta, so probably won't be as bad, but I am still worried. He is 18 and had lived in SoCal all his life until a few months ago.

Welcome, and you can do it! I just started making changes too, use MFP everyday now, and went to the gym for the first time in my life about 3 weeks ago, I have been going nearly everyday since, and it feels great. Helps with my stress/mood, too.
