A lot less these days. We are a family of five, so the expense is just too much to eat out on a regular basis. Once every month or two, our family will cross the border to the USA and go to a buffet, because let's be honest buffets in the USA are so much better than in Canada. And then a couple times a month we'll get…

Fads don't last long, if you want to eat healthfully eat well balanced meals. Meet your macros and micros and enjoy some treats every now and then for your sanity. I have three kids too and if I had to over restrict myself I'd be....well a moody btch.

no foods will help, but good posture and a pair of high heels will help.

At least you realized it now, it took me until my oldest was in kindergarten walking up two flights of stairs and feeling very winded before I realized how out of shape I was.

Haha OP we have a lot in common. I'm 32 with three kids, youngest is 2.5 years old and had one c-section and 2 vbacs. With me I have a feeling that it was my last baby that have me the loose skin even though with him I gained the least amount of weight (25 lbs). As I lost the weight I noticed that the leaner I got the more…

When I was breastfeeding my second baby I got down to 102 lbs at 5'4. When I had my third baby I used Mfp to make sure that didn't happen again.

Protein cereal, one serving of ice cream with protein powder mixed in and greek yoghurt.
-
Zucchini and green beans, now I love them.

I won't starve the whole day prior, just eat a little less than what I normally would and enjoy the event. Except vacations are a little different for me. With those I do go all out, because my vacations are not the relaxing kind and the amount of movement and activity I get cancels out most, if not all of the extra…

Dried beans and lentils, you have a cow you can make your own yoghurt, cottage cheese...etc. Frozen fruits and veggies are much cheaper than fresh especially when not in season. I'm guessing you live on a farm, trade meat for fruit with your neighbours.

Thank you :)

You're going to have to go for calorie dense foods, while making sure you don't eat an excessive amount of sugar or sodium at suhoor. I'm trying to maintain while fasting and even that is hard. I've been eating 10% fat greek yoghourt, whole wheat bagels with a lot of cream cheese, higher calorie protein bars, avacados, tea…

Oreo, chocolate chip mint, cookie dough, vanilla bean, and my all time favourite black licorice, which is a pain in the butt to find.

I'm fasting and yesterday was my first time working out during Ramadan. It was very minimal, but 15 min on the stationary bike and 15 min lifting weights after iftaar. I don't know if I'll be able to continue as the fasting days become longer. Having the time is a major issue for me and sleep has a higher priority than…

My daily "high calorie" food is ice cream, can't give that up. But really it's not that high calorie, because I only have one serving.

Whatever keeps you at a sustainable calorie deficit. Atkins would be a personal preference kind of thing, you'll lose more at first, but it's not fat loss, it's water weight.
-
Your still in a calorie deficit then.

I took a week vacation during spring break. I came back +1lb, which was most likely water weight. I ate whatever I wanted and was very active during my vacation.....lol you can have it all.

If OP is breastfeeding, low carb and what you are recommending, extremely low carb is a very bad idea. Cutting carbs can negatively affect milk supply and let's be real carbs are great for energy, anyone with a 6 week old baby needs as much energy as they can get.

Are you four feet tall? Sometimes what we think we see in the mirror isn't reality. If you want to see more muscle definition, eat to maintain your weight and lift heavy weights.
-
Or you can also add it as a cardio exercise. Cardio>breastfeeding>time
-
You can always add protein powder to that Ben and Jerry's.
-
OP you have to stop thinking of some foods as "bad" or "not good" or a detriment to losing weight. If you just read a little more in the forums, you'll see that if it fits in your calorie goal then you can eat whatever the *kitten* you want.

My kids drink whole milk, I'll drink it warm if I can't sleep, but otherwise not my drink of choice.

Quest (chocolate, cookies and cream and salted caramel) has been my favourite, although the amount of brands I've tried can easily be counted on one hand.
