I tend to gain in the face, so 2 kg might be noticeable on me. I'm at the top range of maintenance for me right now though.

I lost my baby weight by eating lots of carbs. I didn't have a whole lot to lose, but the point is I got to goal by not cutting out or severely restricting certain macros.

Rest days from calorie counting or working out?
-
I log everything, vitamins, salt, spinach...everything.

About 2 years ago I joined a gym for the first time in my life. After losing the few lbs that I wanted to lose, I started my half assed version of recomp. This entailed lifting 40 minutes 4 times a week using machines and dumbells. It took me 6 months to get the look I was going for (which may not be the look everyone is…

I'm with school of thought #1 here. It's for my own sanity and for the safety of the people around me.

OK then eat all the calories MFP gives you. I'm sure since you are bulking you are able to eat more fat than a lot of people on this site (since most are trying to lose weight). Don't be afraid of eating fat, is there a reason you are so concerned about being over this macro by 6%?
-
No. What is your daily fat goal?

I'm having a hard boiled egg in my salad as part of my lunch today. I'm no chef so it's simple and yummy. Spinach, coleslaw salad mix, egg and a bit of salt and pepper.
-
@incisron why are they worried about you to begin with?
-
I'm sure you were eating way more than 1800 calories before you started MFP, so it's really not a lot. If you are weighing your food, eating back half your step calories and are honest with your daily activity level setting then you really should be eating 1800 calories a day. As you get closer and closer to your goal…

They scale weight you saw go up was probably water weight from starting a new exercise regime. It's easy to say you are being too hard on yourself, but your feelings can be very amplified after having a baby. Sleepless nights, hormones, baby blues and post partum depression are all things you need to consider about why you…

I love cardio! I don't enjoy lifting, but I love the feeling I have after and my body composition is better now than if I wouldn't have decided to lift at all.

I remember when every youtuber was sponsored by Beach Body for this program. Everyone who did it still looks the same today as they did before they started the program.

Focus on eating less calories then you do now. Worrying about macros is too overwhelming for most people at the beginning of their weight loss journey. All you need for counting calories is a digital food scale and accurate daily logging. Good luck!
-
I must have because before I discovered MFP I had already had two kids and was able to lose the baby weight after both without proper calorie counting.
-
I use both. Margarine on my bread, and butter in my baking/cooking.

You don't know if OP is breastfeeding, if she is, cutting carbs is not the best move for mom or baby. Carbs give you energy and errr OP has a 10 week old. Like was said before carbs aren't bad.

I've had one c-section, and 2 natural births. My stomach went back to the way it was before with hard work. However, I was not over weight before any of my kids so I think your starting weight has way more to do with losing the pooch than the actual c-section. Also, if your pooch is skin only surgery will make it go away.

OMG it blocked the name of the trail lol. Well it's actually called the West Dy ke Trail, hope that doesn't offend anyone, it has to do with the fact this city is at sea level and needs well you know...dy kes

This is a common one for me. West *kitten* Trail. Richmond, BC (Canada).

Just have to say America has flavours of pop tarts that other parts of the world have never seen. I go to the USA regularly and the first time I went to Target it was almost a quarter of an isle full of different flavours. In Canada I remember being able to get strawberry or blueberry flavours as a kid, they were/are…

I make sure I hit my micros everyday, otherwise it will affect my work out the next day. Saying that though, I do eat what I want. Today I've had lindt chocolate, oreos and gummy worms along with micro nutrient dense foods. I loosely watch my macros, I try to hit at least 70 - 80 grams of protein, but really don't care…

Probably 2. I think the last time I ate pop tarts was when I was 12.

Exercising is always a good thing to do for your body, but three months isn't a magic number. Even when you are exercising you will still need to track your intake in the same way you did before since losing weight has everything to do with calories.
-
Huh?
-
But how many calories is that? Some people have big hands. two thumbed sized portions of chocolate or similar treats sounds depressing.
