Maybe have your hubby store treats in a closed cabinet. "out of sight, out of mind"? That's what my hubby does. he takes treats in his lunch every day, but if I don't see them, I don't crave them. As I practice mindfulness, I find I less and less think that treat would be worth the calories or mental beating I would give.

great job!! you are doing the right things, not too fast so it's unsustainable.

i haven't scheduled my surgery yet, but am having rny because of acid reflux (instead of sleeve). Many people have to have the revision later, you are not alone.

i like to use fat free half and half, and a little liquid stevia (about 5 drops for 20oz cup). If I want flavoring, I can use extract or skinny syrups. It makes the coffee really creamy and yummy!!

Try taking the yolk of the egg out, mix with a little bit of avocado, then have "deviled" eggs with it. you can add any spices you like. The avocado will take place of the mayo, be heart healthy and gives the yolks a much better texture!

I find if I can get myself to go out and purchase an individual treat, I do much better than "a big package that I can preportion". If I do the preportioning, I just eat 2 - or 3 portions!! good job cleaning out temptation. i too have trouble with moderation!

it may be worth finding an online support group outside of MFP with a focus on the mindful part of weight loss. I joined one and it was a game changer for me. I'm a very smart, successful woman who can do lots of things why couldn't I do this? because I was thinking about it all wrong. Getting my brain in the right place…

i struggle with eating out and trying to track my food. I do try to order things like grilled chicken or fish with no sauce, but hard to determine the size or weight of these items. I usually guess what I think it is and multiply by 1.5 for a 'safety margin' but not sure that is the right or effective way. Anyone have any…

fabulous NSV! i find many drinks now are too sweet, so I usually just stick to water or a couple drops of a flavoring in the water.

NEVER disparage what you have accomplished (not nearly as much....) Every person has a private battle and every accomplishment should be recognized and celebrated. That is a huge loss. Think of this - you have lost the size of a toddler!! and free closet shopping is the best.

so my weight has been stable this month, we've had a week's vacation with travel and eating out, and my # hasn't really changed - a # or two, pretty sure that is water weight. What I find disconcerting is my body shape seems to be changing. I can wear clothes I haven't worn in years (I know, I have a clothing overload…

how are you doing? did you find out how to balance calories vs body needs to you are able to lose again? I'm curious what you found out.
-
how did your surgery go? I think it has already happened?
-
how have you progressed since your surgery? how is the acid reflux? i have that as well, so I'm curious what my surgeon suggests for type of surgery. Good luck to you!!
-

had a long discussion with my health coach and she gave me a new catch phrase - If Not Now, When? I've really thought about that and found I am often "going to do it later" which turns into "I mean well, but just didn't do it". Now I am thinking this regularly and use #INNW for a hashtag in that group's posts. :) it's…

I have my surgeon consult scheduled!! looks like things are moving right along. I need to go through all my paperwork and make sure it is all in order. My appointment is 4 weeks away, and surgery will be at least 2+ weeks after that, so I'm sure that part will go quick.

good luck to you - I am thinking about 6 weeks from now I'll have mine!
