  • 6/16: 60 minutes of hard climbing intervals on trainer 6:17: 11 mile run in hell 6/18: rest! 6/19: 1 mile open water swim
  • @csman49 Velodrome sounds awesome! Looks like everybody had a good weekend. Past few days for me: 6/11 - 90 min hard intervals on the trainer 6/12 - easy swim 6/13 - 8 mile tempo run 6/14 - 60 mile bike ride 6/15 - 4 mile tempo run (all I have time for today, I'm going to have to do today's swim later this week). 26 days…
  • I skipped my trainer ride last night and sat on my butt watching tv. It was a good call. I feel much less fatigue in me legs. Sometimes you just need to rest. 6-10: morning weights/core; 5 mile group run tonight
  • @gobonas99 You are killing it. Wow!! I'm tired too. Very tired. Let's see. 6/6: 3x brick - 15 mile cycle/3 mile run, repeat three times 6/7: 6 mile run in 90 degree heat (on purpose - I'm an electrolyte science experiment) 6/8: weights 6/9: (so far...) 5.5 miles on the track w/ 4x1 mile repeats at 8:00-8:10 pace I have a…
  • Goals: do my training plan, don't get injured! Well, I'm already off plan thanks to work. 6/1: 90 minute trainer ride with hard intervals 6/2: scheduled rest day 6/3: unscheduled rest day (emergency work poop) 6/4: back on ye olde trainer for 90/intervals
  • @cblue315 in case I don't check in beforehand good luck on Sunday!
  • Took a rest day yesterday. These bad easy runs indicated that I needed it. Got back in the saddle, literally, with a great 90 min ride on the trainer this am with loads of hard intervals. Woo! Just one more long bike, long run & swim and it will be JUNE!
  • Augh second long easy run in a row that just totally blew chunks. 10 mile slugfest. This is fun. This is fun. This is fun. Right? :-P
  • @SBRRepeat Congratulations!!! That's so awesome!!! So today was not my day. On paper my workout was on point, 12 mile easy run. But I forgot my gel, wound up scarfing someone's extra Gatorade for calories, and pretty much bonked at 11.5. Now my legs are dead. But again at least on paper it looks like a nice 12 mile easy…
  • I love running in the rain. But I absolutely detest cycling in it. I might go out once or twice a season in case it rains on race day. Otherwise, nyet. Different strokes. :)
  • It's quite possible that I'll be on it again for 3 hours of fun this weekend. Every weekend with the rain, ugh! Much bad tv will be watched.
  • Ha! I'm actually the slow one, so I just try to get my lane partner to agree to swim back and forth on the same side rather than in circles The Y pool I go to is kinda crappy and thus never crowded so this usually works Let's see, I haven't posted since Friday. Saturday: 10 mile easy run, later 1 hour @ gym doing upper…
  • Hmm. It's been a while since I've posted, not sure where I left off! 5/10 - 11.5 mile run 5/11 - 90 min bike trainer 5/12 - nada (work travel) 5/13 - nada (work travel) 5/14 - 7.5 mile run 5/15 - 60 minute bike trainer, physical therapy I have missed all of my swim workouts this week. Ugh....there's always tomorrow after…
  • Been slacking a bit. I did my strength training and PT exercises yesterday but skipped my trainer ride. If I'm feeling ambitious I may do it tonight and turn my 5 mile run into a brick. Blah.
  • @ffjrodas It wasn't my first race, but my first triathlon was a HIM. It's doable!
  • @gobonas99 I am also a really slow swimmer so you just gave me some extra motivation to finally get down to the masters club! I have done all I can do on my own.
  • Happy CdeMayo! 5/4: 75 minute trainer ride, strength & PT exercises 5/5: 7.5 mile run neg split easy/tempo
  • I'm answering a question you didn't ask, but I bet you will be ready to race before you lose 150 lbs and that will motivate you even more. You might find that halfway there you can do it. Weight doesn't put you at much of a disadvantage on the bike. And triathlon is a great equalizer on the run because small fit people…
  • Nice marathon time!! 5/3: 7 hour ordeal involving me driving 50 miles to the start of my bike ride, a broken radiator, a frustrated Jeep mechanic and a tow truck to BFE. I did not get my ride in, but it was quite a day! Ugh....
  • @SBRRepeat Best of luck tomorrow! I hope you wake up feeling better.
  • @Ohhim I stalked the IM Florida website on the day registration opened and got lucky! It will be my second.
  • May 2: 9 mile easy run
  • I'm in; I'm not sure that I have any goals other than try to stick to what my coach gives me as closely as possible! I have a HIM in July, another in August, and IM Florida in November. Today is a rest day! Unplanned, but it happens. Tomorrow is a long run, however. Look forward to chatting & accountability! --Kat
