Also, when the lift was down at work today and I had to take 10 flights of stairs to the fifth floor. I only started feeling tired on like, the eighth flight!

I knew I was losing weight and gaining muscle when I started to out-do the regulars at my gym classes! I was so envious of them at the start because I had little endurance and would have to frequently stop for a break. Now, I power through the classes and often the instructor comments on how energetic I am or how strong…

Your stats are so similar to mine! I'm 4'11 and currently 116lbs. You look amazing, you've given me motivation to get rid of these pesky last few pounds!
-
Thank you! I am so excited about the lines, it's like my abs are finally starting to peek through, first time I've ever had any sort of definition at all :)
-
I started going to the gym in February but I started watching what I ate in April, so about two months :) I lose about 1lb a week
-
Thanks faithyang and cdal1 :) That's awesome! I bet you can really see the difference! I find that even a few pounds of weight gain or loss makes a difference to my appearance because of my height, so I bet you'll be needing some new clothes soon :)

Thank you very much guys! I don't rule out any food, I let myself eat whatever I want, just in moderation :) However, each day I try to limit my carbs as much as possible, and eat at least five portions of fruit and veg. I just count all my calories and try to hit my target :) I tend to eat the same thing for lunch and…

Ahh another one! A fitness inspiration page on Instagram liked my gym selfie! Never thought THAT could happen lol!

I've moved on from doing press-ups on my knees to being able to do them on my toes! I feel SO much stronger!

Yeah I've been doing the same sort of thing, I log about 75%. I'm very short and don't weigh a huge amount, so my calories burnt are never these impressively high numbers a lot of users of MFP seem to get, but for example, yesterday I did Insanity for 60 minutes and it said I burnt around 400. I logged 300 just in case,…

Thanks sijomial. I do think it's an unnecessary complication that might surely give people who aren't as nerdy as me reason to believe that they can just not put as much effort in. I was skeptical of the feature when I bought the FT7, but didn't plan on using that part much anyway because I just wanted something to track…

Thanks very much jrcrmr! So I still burn calories in the fitness zone, but in the fat burning zone, it essentially takes less effort to burn the same calories? I'll just keep training hard then because I want to improve my stamina and ability anyway in addition to burning fat :)

Someone at work came up to me and said 'You're looking tiny! You've really slimmed down!' I've only lost 7lbs, but I'm under 5ft so it comes off SUPER slow. I was feeling disheartened, and she made my day!

Thanks everyone for your replies. Crunches are part of many exercises I do at my fitness classes, I don't JUST do crunches  I just wondered if anyone had any clue about the back issue... My exercise regime is basically comprised of Les Mills classes (body attack, grit plyo, cxworx) an insanity class once a week, and…

Hey :) I'm 23 and I know exactly what you mean. I go to the gym at least three times a week, try to eat as clean and as healthily as possible and count my calories, yet I also try and juggle nights out at bars/clubs and restaurants. It's so hard! Over the last couple of months I've been checking out menus and calories…

I'm 4'11 and I'm currently 8st 7lbs, it's a healthy weight for my size but I know I feel more comfortable at around 7st 12lbs, so I'm aiming for that :) However my focus at the moment is really losing inches and getting stronger/fitter x

I've not lost much weight yet (6lbs so far, been doing this for about 3 weeks) but I've loved going to the gym for a while now. The past few weeks I've realised how smoking really affects my ability at the gym, so I've decided to quit, or drastically reduce how many cigarettes I'm having. None yesterday, none today so far.…

Sorry that's in two quotes for some reason! My phone isn't being very co-operative

This post is so inspiring! I can't wait to get to my goal weight so I can post :)

These suggestions have all been really helpful, thanks sooo much!

I can't really eat almonds or nuts or even Snickers sadly because I get a weird allergic reaction to nuts where my lips get all lumpy (really attractive, obviously) and my gums and throat become itchy... same with a lot of fruit! But I can eat it in the butter form for some reason, so I might just have to do that. Thanks…

Thanks for the suggestions :) I'm going to get down to my health shop and pick up some protein powder I think! And I always wondered why there was beef jerky in a vending machine at my gym haha
-
Thank you Gia, that was really helpful! I'll look into Muscle Milk 40 x
-
Thanks :) This might sound silly, but do these add in calories to your fruit shakes?

I'm tiny, only 4ft 11ins tall lol and I weigh 126lbs. Weight literally takes forever to come off me. MFP gave me 1,200 and I think my resting metabolic weight calories is only 1,400 anyway, so I know it sounds low but it's fine :)
-
Thanks! Ok so I just have to figure out how to get that into my diet with 1,200 daily allowance now. And also where to buy them from haha
-
Definitely! We can totally do this, I just need to stop seeing it as a really long stretch in front of me and take it week by week... which is what I struggle with! I need to commit to the calorie counting! As of tomorrow no more chocolate... because I can't be trusted to just have 'one' piece lol. I end up eating it all…

5'2 is definitely short enough haha! Although you're tall compared to me  I agree that it's not so much about the scale but more about how you look and feel! I don't know my body fat but when I had a PT last summer I think it was around 24% and I'd like to lose some  I used to be so good at calorie counting…
