When you were using the Flex, were you eating back your adjustments and not gaining, as well?

One additional question: the one thing I found online about scheduling both types the same day was saying that strength training should be done first and then cardio. Any thoughts about that?

Thank you all for your responses. I'm doing a beginner plan, and realize that 20 min of cardio and/or strength is not very much...trying to increase that every week, mainly just trying to make a habit of exercising first.

I admittedly know nothing about gaining muscle, and my friends don't have the same goals as me. I got sick, lost a about 20 lbs of mostly muscle, and gained back about 20 lbs of mostly fat. What do you think would be the best approach, to tackle the fat loss first or the muscle gain first?

Because that is 100% of my friends in real life, and it hasn't worked, so I'm trying something else.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I hate exercise, but my goal isn't to bond over that fact, my goal is to find what works for other people who also hate exercise.
