Ugh I need to take a look at what I am eating because lately I am SO hungry all the time!!! I'm getting enough fat and protein so I don't know what's going on, must be hormonal!

What you are doing really doesn't seem healthy...

I don't have cheat meals but once in a while I will have a maintenance day, where I eat what would be my maintenance calories for that day. I tend to save these for special occasions where I know there will be foods I would like to indulge in. This way I don't wipe out my deficit but I also feel like I can let loose a tiny…

A whole box of Maple Leaf cookies!!! So craving maple-y sweetness dipped in milk! I had 2 cookies yesterday but it didn't dampen my craving!

This thread is making me impatient for all the snow to melt so I can plant my veggie garden! We are expanding it this year and I can't wait to plant MORE! I've learned that I need to plant WAY more carrots and sugar snap peas as I go through those faster than they can grow!

First weigh-in for this challenge = really good! I think a good chunk was water weight but I will take the loss! I often only lose every 2 weeks so I wouldn't be surprised if next week my weight is the same or higher. I weigh myself every day so I can see past the fluctuations and see the downward trend instead. I'm also…

You don't need to follow a diet to lose weight. Input your data into MyFitnessPal and stick to the amount of calories they give you. Eat what YOU want to eat. I know I could never stick to my calorie allowance without a good amount of carbs.

A food scale is definitely a game changer! I just bought a new scale because I no longer trust my old one. I would look away and the numbers would change! Or they would randomly go up or down without me moving anything. Tried new batteries but that wasn't it. I'm thinking of buying a small one to leave at my desk at work…

I do weigh them without the peel, though generally I weigh the whole fruit, eat, then weight the leftover and subtract from the original weight.

So maybe this is the place to ask. I'm cooking some bone-in, skin-on chicken breasts tonight and I know I won't be eating the whole breast since they are HUGE, how in the world do I weight this accurately? I normally weigh my meat raw as it's more accurate but this time I'll only be eating a portion of it and not eating…

I have lost before and also gotten fit and I much preferred the holy crap you can do how many pull ups type of compliments than the weight loss comments. You can switch you goals to fitness achievements instead.

Another vote for getting a food scale and USING it! I was running out of time for breakfast one morning and asked my husband to put 15 grams (1 serving - 95 calories) of peanut butter on bread for me. He couldn't get over how small an amount it was! Next time he made his own peanut butter bread he weighed it and his 2…

Did you not read the sentence RIGHT below the one you quoted?

It is totally possible but it will take time! Like someone else mentioned don't focus on the end goal just start your weight loss journey and see where it takes you! Time will pass whether you do something or not, wouldn't you rather be a healthier you after that time has passed?
-
Yes this is why I am set to lightly active, most of the time I am much more active than that but on days where I'm not I really hate having calories taken away! So I'd rather start off with less calories and earn more as I am more active, than have some taken away!

Nice! I still have a really hard time going a full hour!

@AnitaCRice nice, you're almost done!

Feel free to add me, my diary is open to friends!

@crazyravr Do you have a recipe to replace garlic sauce, you know the stuff you get on shawarma's? I'm thinking roast a head or 2 of garlic and then blend with a can of white beans? Maybe add some kind of liquid to make it more fluffy? Kinda like garlic hummus but not as dense. What says the expert in lower calorie, higher…

Who is working out to aid in the weight loss, and what do you do? I'm on week 3 of Beachbody's LIIFT4 program and I love it! Did chest and triceps yesterday and I went the heaviest yet so I am sore today! That HIIT session after the lifting KILLED me, it was great!
-
60 minute walk on treadmill at work 30-ish minute weight lifting and HIIT (Beachbody - LIIFT 4 - Week 3 day 1 Chest and Triceps)
-
It's better to do exercise you enjoy than none at all. Weight lifting is really good for you but if you hate it that much don't force yourself! Maybe you could scale it down to a frequency that isn't so horrible to you, maybe just once or twice a week?

I make my own "lightened" alfredo sauce, I think I adapted the recipe from the Budget Bytes website and it is definitely worth it as a once in a while treat. I think it's around 500 calories for a serving? On weekends I normally only eat 2 meals rather than the 3 I do during the week. That way I can splurge a bit more for…
