This is excellent advice!

I wouldn't look for a rule here. You're probably going to be full the rest of today and maybe even much of tomorrow. Just wait until you're hungry again to eat but don't torture yourself.

Day one has been a success! I've prelogged meals And snacks for Almost A year, but often end up "tasting" something not logged and it can turn into a mini binge. Today I logged everything before I ate. So when my daughter insisted I try one of her little cookies, i actually logged one before I ate it. It was only 5…

Thanks for the responses! I've been prelogging for almost a year. But I let some extra bites turn into, well, a lot more than just bites. No more extras. Prelogging or it doesn't get eaten.
-
Why is it a problem that beans are 180 calories? If you were eating chicken, that would be a typical calorie count for your protein.
-
Just posted about this! I plan on prelogging everything before I actually eat it, to eliminate binging and estimating snacks. I will make Exceptions for when I eat outside the home and do my best to Estimate, but that's only once a week or less.

Congrats!

I eat at deficit. But in order to accomplish that, I exercise everyday to earn back enough calories to keep me satisfied. Some days that Includes running, but every day I make sure to incorporate a lot of walking throughout the day.

You trust yourself for weighing and logging each item correctly in mfp.
-
I only use the recipe builder.

I bought that powder pb so many rave about. Just. No. Doesn't taste good enough and made me want to dive into the real thing.

This is my first week off birth control and my appetite hasn't changed so far. Side note, I'm all crampy this week. I guess I'm ovulating and I vaguely remember this from when we were trying to conceive but it is really uncomfortable!

We bought a used treadmill for $200 a few years ago. Best investment!! Cheaper than a gym and much closer commute :). I sometimes will choose to use it for just a few minutes when I have some time to kill (in addition to my regular runs). You can't beat the convenience. We also have a tv in the same room. I can't watch it…

There's no way you gained 3 lbs in 2 days. It must be water weight. I'd give it a few weeks to see if you get used to it. I just came off the pill after many years. I don't know what will happen. The last two times I went off to have my kids so obviously I gained weight :). But now hubby had a vasectomy so I'm permanently…

I run in the morning and usually haven't eaten in about 15 -16 hours (We eat dinner early here!) I prefer an empty stomach so I don't get cramps. But i also am only running 30 minutes. Maybe if I was training for a marathon or something I'd want a little more energy.

Use the Lower one. In my case, mfp is actually way lower than my treadmill (it's an old machine and doesn't let me input my stats). I use mfp since it's almost half the amount

Stop joking around people. It's not nice. Signed, Tyra banks.

Great perspectives, thank you for answering. Today was my husband's morning to sleep in (we alternate on weekends). Normally when he wakes up I can workout as long as I want, but today we had to be somewhere early in the day. So I brought the kids into the basement and let them play while I used the treadmill. I walked…

It depends on your stats: height, weight, activity level. And how many lbs a week did you tell mfp you want to lose?
-
I recalculated after each loss. Mfp gives me 1200 for less than .5 lb (it's only a 240 deficit because mfp won't go lower than 1200). I aim to eat around 1400 by exercising.
-
Essentially exercise more but don't eat the added calories back? I've added more exercise but then I eat some back. Maybe eating less exercise calories back would help. Thank you.
-
Ugh, at home, at work, all around town. It's exhausting! B)
-
Wow, thank you for your service, bravery, and honesty. Feel free to friend me!

Something else to consider: you won't be able workout whenever you want. It will take some planning and negotiating. If you're used to getting up early in the morning to workout, you may need to also allow time for your wife to workout (or sleep!!). Same for evenings. My husband and I still make time to workout but we rely…

I understand but certainly it won't harm me to not drink an enormous coffee in the morning (which I don't normally do any way).
-
Congrats! Honestly the best way to prepare is to NOT have expectations. Breastfeeding may not work out. Co sleeping may not work out. You just don't know until you're in the thick of it. You can expect to be sleep deprived but it will be worth it. When you get closer to the due date, you could freeze a lot of healthy meals…

So she basically ate only protein? That sounds a bit unhealthy.
-
No, not close to my period and no changes. I thought the hunger was related to that jittery feeling. Not sure.
-
If you are using mfps calculation right now to lose weight, then you already know if it's accurate! It's simply going to give you another 250 or 500 calories to eat (depending on your current deficit).

Maybe it started with the anxiety over his travel and now it's just a habit? I wish I had great advice but I've struggled for a long time
