I hated the movie marley and me, yet still got teary eyed at the end. I realize this makes no sense but it's what happened. Mabey there's some subliminal thing going on, but that movie does seem to affect men in an odd way, lol. The Thin Red Line is a movie that got me at a few points. "City of God" is probably the best,…

I was the same way, nothing changed in the first 3 weeks or so. What really got it started was exercising longer-60 minutes or more instead of 30 or 40. Plus after a few weeks you can look back at your diary and really get a grip on which foods are still holding you back.

Yeah I wouldn't be too worried about "burning muscle". If so do some strength training along with your cardio. And be careful of so called nutritionists as well. The regulations and standards for using that title are very inconsistant across the country. I'm not saying anyone who calls themself one is a total hack, but to…

I recently took a nutrition class in college, my teacher being a dietician involved in making a lot of the official dietary reccomendations for americans. From what I remember artificial sweeteners can cause cancer but you'd have to have a ton of it. I'm talking like 20-30 packets of sweet and low every day. I don't use…

My favorites right now are kashi soft baked cereal bars if I want something sweet, or a handful of almonds if I'm looking for something salty, and a big glass of water to go with whatever it is. I like to make sure my snacks include some fiber as they will satisfy for a long time, and because you have to chew more so your…
