I been a part of MFP for a few weeks, and I wasn't seeing any results. Last week, I decided to work a little bit harder and to really monitor what I eat. I started losing inches off of my body, and now I'm losing pounds. I'm on my way to a healthier me!
Each body is different. Some people lose pounds quickly and easily. Some lose inches, and eventually pounds. I'm the second one. I lost inches first, and now I'm seeing the pounds fall off. To those of you who are like me: be patient, and keep up the good work. Your hard work WILL pay off. :-)

Awesome. Good that you figured out how your body works while losing weight. Keep it up.0

I am the same way which is why I try not to call victim to the scales. I know it will come off.0

Wonderful post! Good things happen to those who wait, and GREAT things happen to those who get out and do something! WAY TO GO!0

I'm right there with you! Congrats on sticking through. I've only lost 10lbs this year, but I've gone down two sizes. It has taken me 3 years to lose 40...which is probably a bit drastic, but the first year I wasn't as committed as the last 2 and gained some back over the holidays0

Thanks for that post...I really needed to read that. I am an inches person and not a weight person also so I am looking forward to the weight coming off.0

I was the same way, nothing changed in the first 3 weeks or so. What really got it started was exercising longer-60 minutes or more instead of 30 or 40. Plus after a few weeks you can look back at your diary and really get a grip on which foods are still holding you back.0

Exactly what I needed to hear this AM! I got on the scale and hadn't lost, but felt smaller so I measured. I had lost an inch in my belly! It makes absolutely no sense to me, but I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!0
