There are many apps. Some of them allow you to use Runkeeper to program a workout to the specs of that week, and some just pace you while you're on the treadmill. I workout indoors 50% of the time because I live in a very hot climate, and I use Runkeeper and just program my workout per the C210K specs (meaning that it…

Hey, OP, I did C25K from May till September with a race in October. It was 100% one of the best things I've ever done. When I started I was about 35kg overweight, and I am now around 15kg overweight. It gave me structure and most of all it made me realize that I can run which is something I never thought I would be able to…

Hard to say exactly. In winter I have lots of oranges (which I know are laden with sugar), 1-2 a day, and I make sure to have lots of vegs with every meal. I do eat low cal biscuits once in a while as well.

Hey, thanks! I log exercise calories using a Fitbit HR. Took me a while to trust it, but I believe it has a pretty good estimation. I'll think about changing my calorie goal. Feels counter-intuitive, but could work

I've had one for about three years. We bought it for my husband because he loves fries. I used it a number of times for other things and it's not much different than a non stick pan or an oven. It was a lifesaver once when my oven and stovetop both died on the same weekend and I cooked the entire meal on it. Upside: Fries…

All of the above is solid advice. My bit is this - No good change ever comes from *kitten*. No good change comes from others' criticism of you. Everything good in life comes from love. You need to do it FOR YOU. Try to have compassion for yourself. Treat yourself kindly, and I swear your body will play along. You lost over…

Thanks, editorgrrl, I was referring to Fitbit's recommendation not to keep all-day sync on with the phone because it will drain the batter on the bracelet and the phone

Actually went out last night and bought it. Decided that as I am near my computer all day, I'm okay with not having it sync continuously with the phone and just use the dongle. I'm currently running 5.1.1 on my Nexus 5 and I don't have any notifications on the tracker. I would love to have it, especially for outdoor runs,…

Generally I was taught it's pretty counterproductive to for your running form and calorie burn if you hold on to the treadmill rail. I just started using my Charge HR, and my morning treadmill workout was fine. If anything, I feel like the tracker overshot my cal burn, and slightly underestimated the distance. The steps…

Thanks guys. This helped a lot.
