  • These look sinfully delicious
  • I actually hate that they put the calories on the menu. It is a turnoff. I know when i am eating food with a lot of calories. i was looking at OG menu the other day and I lost interest in going after seeing the calories, although I am not likely to eat the whole entree in one sitting.
  • I drink at least a gallon of water every day. Im used to it. It has not killed me yet.

  • That is one problem that I have never had. I am not sure why, but I guess I am glad.

  • I started out in a similar situation 4 years ago. I was 45 and 500+ lbs. I knew I was morbidly obese, but in reality I really did not care. I would dress myself up, do my hair and put on make up and act like I was normal. On my 45th birthday I just woke up and realized I was miserable in every aspect. I decided to take…
  • Not so much anymore, but I first lost a significant amount of weight I was shocked when I felt something hard on my body and realized it was a bone. For instance, I can feel my collar bone, my ribs, and my hip bone now where I could not before. It used to really amuse me to be able to feel those parts of my body that were…
  • I'm sure many will answer, but I would say that you do not weigh it frozen. Most say weigh it raw. I normally weigh my meat after it is cooked, but I use the calories for cooked meat.
  • I used to be a 54DD. Last time I got a fitting I was a 38dd. Depending on my weight I am a 36-38DD. I really refuse to buy expensive bras. I am not really impressed with the fit of any of them. Luckily my sister is in the same size range and buys nice bras. She donates to me and I just use what she gives me. I like the…
  • I dont weight mine. I just guess, but reading this thread made me want to take my bag out of my desk and pop a few.
  • I thought and sometimes still think that when I look at myself. I am getting used to it, but it makes a big difference. I am no where small or skinny, but there is an extreme difference in my face. I sometimes joke and say I need to get some fillers. At any rate, it really does not bother me anymore when people say do not…
  • Im not a weight loss expert, but I think that if you have not loss anything after 3 weeks then you need to adjust what you are eating.
  • That is awesome. You literally look like you are your own daughter. Congrats
  • Losing the other 10 lbs I gained over the holidays.
  • [[/i] I would like to tell my story briefly. I woke up on my birthday just about 4 years ago and I was miserable. I was depressed and weighed over 500 lbs. I consider that my re-born day. I had no idea what to do but I know I had to change my life. I saw Nutrisystem on tv and ordered it. Mind you I had the food for about a…
  • i have no idea what my eating patterns were before, which is why I was 500 lbs. I just ate everything in sight I guess. I paid no attention to what I ate. Now I have learned to eat in moderation and not waste calories on food that I really do not want.
  • I thought the post was about eating 1000 calories in an hour. I was about to say I can do that easily.
  • Interesting topic. For the first time since I have been logging I had chittlings (chitterlings) this NYE. It is no so strange, depending where you are from. I was curious to see if they were in the database and they were. I did not check the accuracy, because I did not weigh the amount that I ate anyway.
  • Me, reading labels for 3 1/2 years did not pay attention the first time I made these. I followed the directions on the back, thinking it was one serving. After I ate all the pancakes I knew there was no way that was one serving. I then used my brain and read what one serving was. I like them though.
  • I never knew that . THank you
  • I started at over 500 lbs in March of 2015. My obstacle I would say was learning that I cannot eat everything that I want to eat. Once I set my mind to it, it did not bother me about what others were eating. I just knew and know that it was something that I had to do. My new obstacle is learning to deal with the after…
  • Why waste energy worrying about someone else. I don't know what your goal weight is, but at 175 I would not think you that much to lose. I have heard many horror stories of people having WLS, including death. Maybe instead of worrying about your friend you should focus on what you need to do to lose weight they way you…
  • Or you could weigh the banana one day when you are not in a hurry without the peel. Buy bananas about the same size and use that size as a standard. I weigh my bananas, but I am adding them to my yogurt so its easy. What I have found is that in a bunch the size varies maybe from 3-4 grams. No big difference.
  • That is what I was thinking. Unfortunately people are on their phones everywhere anyway. I do not think people are that interested in what is on anyone else's phone. Somtimes I log while at the restaurant. Some times I look at the menu ahead of time so I already know what I want and what the calories are. Some times I just…
  • I do not care about ding dong or twinkies, but donuts are so worth it. I only have one or two maybe once a month, but so worth it
  • I dont know what that is but I need it in my life.
  • I do not have to worry about the look. Although I have lost 200 lbs or so I am nowhere near skinny. I once had a coworker ask why am I not smaller when I appear to eat so healthy. I showed her my before pic and she almost fell over. I guess the moral of the story is that you cannot judge any book by its cover.
  • I think we get over confident and forget how much work it took to lose the weight. It has happened to me a few times over the past three years. Even if I get loosey goosey with my logging, I weigh myself faithfully every Monday morning. When I see that number on the scale creeping up to high then I know I have to get it…
  • I like to stay in a 15 lb range. If I get close to that top number then I know I have to tighten up. What happens when I tighten up is that I end up losing more weight than I want to so I am working on finding a happy medium.
  • I have never lied about my weight loss. I do not regularly talk about it either. I do not recall being asked how much weight that I have lost until I told everyone that I had lost 100 lbs. After that, my family would periodically ask how much I have lost as they could see I was constantly losing weight. Once I passed…
