I have been there and done that a few times. Sometimes I just get tired of eating junk and I stop. The dead stop for me is when my weight gets close to the high of my range of where I want to stay. I have also found that after a while all the good food is not so good if I am eating it all the time and too much of it.

You can do whatever you want. It is your diary for your benefit. If it makes you feel better then do it. You do not need to ask permission on how to use your diary. No one knows if you eat or do not eat what is in your diary.

I actually do try to make healthier choices 80% of the time, but I have to have dessert every night. This weekend we went to Golden Corral for Father's Day. I had fried fish, hushpuppies, fried popcorn shrimp, fried shrimp, steak, macaroni and cheese, and sampled many desserts. I know I over did it, but it was worth it.

I cannot eat a mushy tomato and it grosses me out to see people eat a whole tomato like it is an apple. I wont eat cherry tomatoes, dont want to bite into it. I dont like avocado but I like guacamole.

I started at 500 lbs at age 45. My advice is find a plan that works for you and stick to it. You are not going to lose weight every week, but just know that if you are on a good plan that you will lose the weight.

I pull the meat off the bone and weigh it. If I eat it on the bone I just guesstimate. I really only eat whole pieces of chicken away from home. At home I weigh the meat off the bone, then eat it. Weird I guess. And no I do not eat the bone, I eat the meat.

I agree that it depends on what works best for you. I did not even start with a goal. I just took it day by day. I just knew I had to lose weight. 200 lbs later, that is what worked for me.

I have not done extensive research on intuitive eating, but is it not basically eating when you are hungry and not eating when you are not hungry.

Unless there is a medical reason, I would not equate not liking vegetables to having depression. I have to weigh once a week. It keeps me on track. None of my clothes are so tight that I can tell if I have gained weight. Once a week does not bother me, but once a day makes me wacky.

I feel you. I was telling somebody a while ago that the only thing I miss is my breasts and my face being fuller.
