  • I would say yes and no. As a child I was always chubby. I have never been skinny. When I became an adult I was not skinny but I actually was a good weight for my body. When I got in my late 20s and 30s I gained a lot of weight. I was over 500 lbs. I believe it was depression after my grandmother passed away. I do not know…
  • I, unfortunately have the same condition. It has not affected my weight loss. I have lost 200+ lbs. I actually thought that my leg would go down, but it really has not. I am currently in the process of trying to find someone to give me some viable solutions to this situation. I can attest though that you can lose weight…
  • Yesterday I saw Hostess dark chocolate raspberry cupcakes and donettes. I did not get them and I regret it. I am assuming they will be for Valentine's day so I will be looking for them again.
  • I did not care for the red velvet Oreos. I am a huge red velvet fan and I was excited to try them. They were okay, but did not taste like red velvet.
  • I like the idea of making portioning out a whole bag of something to just grab. Currently the only thing that I would have to do that for are chicharrones. If I keep the bag in the kitchen, I might weigh out a serving, but if I keep them in the dining room I just dig in the bag and eat. I rarely buy chips and if I do they…
  • I was on an Oreo thin kick for a while. I would have the 4 for 140 calories and I was good. I have not had one in months though. I guess I got my fill of them.
  • I can never eat 1 or 2 of those. I do not even bother. Normally if I am on vacation with my family is when I will have pizza and breadsticks, other than that I eat my little nutrisystem pizza and it works for me.
  • I like that idea. I will have to try it.
  • I will let the professional weigh in, but when I read your post I was thinking that you may need to eat more food instead of drinking slim fast. I can pretty much tell you that if you are hungry all day you will not lose weight because you are likely end up overeating to make up for the hunger. Are you weighing and logging…
  • I think it depends on what it is. Im sure the purists will say weigh everything raw. I hardly every weigh raw meat. Then again I hardly ever deal with raw meat. I do not weigh veggies so I am not help with that either. If it is potatoes or sweet potatoes I will weigh them before I cook them. Whether it is cooked or raw I…
  • I would not say it is harder eating more, but I have found that it is easier to eat too much if I allow myself to not be strict on my food plan. I also wanted to comment on the post talking about making lifestyle changes. I never had, and really still do not have, a specific weight goal. What has worked for me is eating in…
  • To whom it may concern. I made groceries last Friday and I bought a one serving cup of Froot loops. I ate them Saturday. I enjoyed them and it killed my sweet cereal craving. It was not bad, 150 calories and I enjoyed it.
  • The article was interesting. I skimmed over it. I have been taking BCAA's because a co-worker suggested it. I guess and like someone above said, it tastes good. However if it is serving no purpose I can save my money and stop using it.
  • Thanks but I think we are saying the same thing.
  • I grew up eating catfish, which I learned as an adult is a bottom feeder fish, but it does not bother me. I have heard that some local restaurants replace catfish with swai. The does not bother me either because I do not know the difference. Maybe the fact that it is covered in cornmeal and deep fried makes it taste good.…
  • It is not that I necessarily want to add them back. I am just trying to find the balance between eating healthier and enjoying foods that I liked. Like I mentioned, I have not had them in years. I probably had not even eaten any in years before I started losing weight so I do not miss the that much. It was just a thought I…
  • I stopped buying pop tarts. I could never eat one and they just made me hungrier. I did buy into the hype from a post on here and bought the pumpkin pop tarts but they were so sweet that I have them away.
  • I have recently been thinking of going from diet soda to regular soda. I do not drink soda much on a regular basis, maybe 2-3 times per week. I am sure the calories will not make a big difference to me anyway. I will try it out for a while and go from the
  • Thanks, but I happen to own a food scale and I use it daily. It has helped me lose and maintain a 200 lb weight loss. :*
  • I like the idea of having it as a sweet snack. If I never eat Apple Jacks again my quality of life will not lessen, but I might be some for old time sake. I might not like them as much as I thought I did anyways.
  • I think I am somewhere in between. I am in my maintenance. I also enjoy eating out a few times per month and I know that I cannot know the exact calories in something unless I prepare it myself. I try not not to eat on a whim. If I am going to eat out I like to know what I am going to eat and therefore have some idea of…
  • I do not buy chicken wings. I have bought rotisserie chicken and I just pull the meat of the bone and weigh it before eating it. If I go out and buy wings I just pick an entry for whatever type of wings I have and log it.
  • I actually have made many healthier versions of muffins that were pretty good. I am not a muffin fanatic, but they served a purpose for me. My sister loved them also. I just google healthy whatever I am looking for. Some were hits and some were not. Also if I want a cookie I will have a cookie. I just know I cannot have a…
  • I agree with this, but I cannot do the daily weighing. I was driving myself crazy. I weigh once a week and this way I know if I am heading in the wrong direction. Although I know if I am heading in the wrong direction but what I allow myself to eat as well.
  • I think it is funny that people get so worked up over people, like myself that like my air fryer. Obviously you are not frying, because there is no oil. I do not fry anything at my house anyway so that I not a big deal for me. I do like to cook fries in the air fryer. Honestly I do not see any difference from deep frying…
  • I would suggest that you do not dwell on the gain and go back to what you were doing to lose the 100. I have lost and maintained a 200 lb loss over the last 3 years. I have gone on vacation for a week and gained 10-15 lbs and recently I gained about 10 lbs during thanksgiving. The weight will come off. It wont come off as…
