Ran 4 miles this morning. It was FREEZING in indy today. But felt good. Refreshing.... I didn't really have a set path in mind... I just looked for the sunniest route.

Cool! Thanks for the link, @moyer566

@samra338 PF? is that plantar fasciitis? I had a touch of that about a month ago. I've been using these http://www.amazon.com/Plantar-Fasciitis-Therapy-Wrap-Support/dp/B00ZIVC2V6/ref=sr_1_4?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1447344332&sr=1-4&keywords=plantar+fasciitis Maybe it's just psychological but I really feel like it made a huge…

Thanks @samra338 Did you end up doing that 10k you were thinking about signing up for awhile back? As for me, still recovering from Sat. I thought I was fine today but then realized I was having a tough time going down a flight of stairs. I actually contemplated taking the elevator down which is a pet peeve of mine. The…

Thanks, @KRPolo I'm just now skimming through and catching up with the board. So sorry to hear about your loss. But I'm glad you're planning to get back on track. You can do it!

Hi, friends! I know, i know... I've been MIA and terrible about updating. but believe it or not, i've continued to keep running and guess WHAT? I ran my first half marathon today! My official time was 2hrs 50 min (13:03 min/mile pace) wahoo! Thank you, thank you to all of you for the support, especially at the beginning of…

Hi, friends! I haven't been on the boards for awhile now but I wanted to share some news. I did the C25k program earlier this year. It took me almost 4 months to complete it (Apr-Jul 2015) with the help of everyone on this board. Today, I completed my first half marathon!! My primary goal was to finish and my secondary…

Hi everyone! Just checking in. Everyone is doing great! As for myself, still plugging along with the half marathon training. I've been using the 16 week plan from halfmarathons.net ... The plan is geared towards people with a more solid foundation than myself so I scatter in a few extra 3 mile runs. Last weekend was…

aaand, i'm BACK! =) Hi, everyone! it's been a little while since I last posted and things have been pretty good! Still plugging away at the running but I haven't been following the b210k program. I've found that as long as I run s-l-o-w-l-y, I can go for a pretty long while without needing the breaks. I'm still signed up…

Had a hard time waking up this morning and just did not feel like the planned 1 hr run. BUT.... I told myself, "just 2 miles.... you can do 2 miles..." and once I started, I kept going. I can't believe I've reached the point where 2 miles is an "easy run". I barely went around the block without wanting to die 3 months ago.
-
@samra338 that is so awesome!! Did you sign up for that 10k too? Did week 2 day 2 of b210k today. 5.6 miles including the warmup and cooldown. Longest distance I've ever done!! Helps that it was nice and breezy this morning. The humidity was killing me last week.

I have a whole set system in the morning now that works well for me. I set out a glass of water at the bedside the night before and as soon as I wake up, I drink it. Then I usually head over to the kitchen and have half a banana and just a few sips of coffee to wake up. I get dressed, and make a pit stop right before I…

Started week 1 of b210k today. I've been consistently doing 3 mile fun runs since graduating from c25k. Ended up doing 3.7 miles today.... the heat is a huge struggle even this early in the morning. Tried the treadmill once this past weekend because of the heat and mentally it was more of a struggle for me. Even though it…

No need to be impressed yet. I have to actually run the thing. =) I use songza too! I'll have to check out "rock and run". I bounce between "Indie rock blast-off" and "uplifting pop motivation" depending on my mood.

Ran 3.04 miles in 38:26 min today. Physically and mentally felt strong. The relatively cool 64 degrees this morning helped. Felt like I could go longer but decided to stop. It is, as they say, "a marathon". What plan is everyone using? My rundouble app has a bridge to 10k plan that is only 6 weeks but I'm seeing people on…

Hi everyone! Recent C25k grad here. I see lots of familiar friendly faces! So, I did something crazy yesterday. A bunch of people at work were talking about signing up for a half marathon in November and in my joy of completing c25k, I signed up. Ack! It is 16 weeks away and I found a 16 week training program. It has me…

Just posted this under graduation announcements but thought I'd share it here. Thank you. Thank you to everyone here for your support. Well, folks... I GRADUATED today!! It wasn't pretty and because of the insane humidity, I don't think I've ever sweat that much before. But I was determined to finish today... AND when I…

Well, folks... I GRADUATED today!! It wasn't pretty and because of the insane humidity, I don't think I've ever sweat that much before. But I was determined to finish today... AND when I saw that at the end of 35 min, I was at 2.7miles, I kept going and hit 3 miles.... no joke, journey's don't stop believin' starting…

One more day of c25k for me! Super excited about the 5k I signed up for in 3 weeks. As a reward and to keep me motivated, I am planning to get proper running shoes at the specialty store. Wahoo! For those of you feeling discouraged, this was my second attempt at c25k and it took me more than 9 weeks to get through it. But…

I've been running in the morning and it's been great. But my work schedule has me getting in at 6AM now so I'm thinking of transitioning to evening runs. My question is, when do I eat dinner?? I usually get home around 6PM and I'm pretty hungry by then.
-
Started my last week today!! Whoo hoo!! I've consistently been hitting 3 miles when I include warmup and cool down. I think I will do the 5k improver on my rundouble app until my 5k next month. Keep it up everyone! It IS possible!

Finally finished week 8 today. I'm back from travelling so if all goes well, I should be graduating this weekend. Say what?
-
Runnings. ... not eunnings...
-
Hi all! First off, congrats to everyone making amazing progress! ! secondly, I know I've been a little mia but have been travelling on business. But not to worry, I've been getting my runs in albeit sometimes I'll let two days lapse between runs. I'm on week 8 day 2 for tomorrow. I'm on business in nyc and m looking…

I know exactly what you mean. I felt a little embarrassed about huffing and puffing along in public. I tell people I run in the morning before the sun is up because it's less hot and I like getting it down before heading to work... that's partly true but mostly it's because there are less people out and about... =p But…

Repeated week 7 day 3 today and felt good. It's become routine for me to repeat day 3 twice for the past few weeks. Probably a mental thing but the second time I repeat day 3 is always a little bit easier which makes me feel better about moving onto the next week. Starting week 8 on friday. Whoo hoo!
-
whoo hoo! congrats! Looking forward to being there soon!
-
Week 7 day 1 done! Felt... not bad!! Haha

I went through the same thing 2 days ago. I repeated the week 6 day 3 run today with better results.
