hey, in the past 2 weeks i've had the go ahead from physio to put as much weight as feels ok in my arm i snapped in two back in august! Stepped it right up again, i'm a poler so fully conditioning my left arm to be dominant, enjoying muscle memory ;) and back at my pull up training again (could do full deadlift pull up…

I don't log. But it took me about 2 years to learn how to eat intuitively and listen to my body cues when unhappy/full/bloated and to understand how much food I need for MY diet, and find other ways. simple example, i use a different (smaller) plate for my food when plating mine and my husbands meals. I will of course have…

hey dude, i managed to maintain for 3 months after a very bad injury where i couldn't exercise after. You just need to eat at maintenance but for fully sedentary. example, my daily maintain cals are 1800 at active, they dropped to 1500 when sat on my backside. I did gain 1 lb in those months, visually i lost shed loads of…

i tend to do this, i'll massively under eat some days, massively over eat others. long time maintaining is way to hard for me if i track everything every day, i obsess. I have success by eating the things i want, but just not all the time. If i ate a whole pizza, a chocolate pudding and had 3 pints of cider in a day, i'm…

I'm all for yoga and pilates, i love strengthening through stretch and poise and keeping my core solid... but i'm at maintenance. It's a great idea to keep doing these things to avoid risk of injury, but for loss, they don't burn much i'm afraid. If you want to shock your body into shifting weight, you need to push it…

congrats :) amazing work, especially keeping the motivation over christmas!

20 mins is better than nothing :) it's still working out! You WILL build up stamina, 20 mins one day...maybe 22 the next? Try in little increments! Or do 20 mins in the morning, 20 at night? OR just take breaks! Do 5 mins (maybe one CRAZY song, then sit down for one, up for the next, sit for one. There's no use you're…

It's amazing how fast grip strength develops, it's a major thing in pole!! I know chalk is used for lifters but have you tried any aerial grip aids such as I tac or dry hands? Also callouses are your friend

I always get asked for recipes and actually made a recipe book for Xmas which detailed the calories for each dish just because people seem to think that "healthy" can't mean nice? ! I love feeding people super delicious meals that are low calorie. Also people think that "healthy" food and "diet" food are the same thing, a…

This! It took me a year of trying and i did condition my whole upper body in that time but I got there in the end, mainly with negatives. Also having a bar to have a pop at each time I walk past at home!

I'm the same height, I'd recommend lifting yes (or a decent body weight routine of some form) but maybe keep in a little deficit too. That's how I tightened up my midsection and arms nearer the end like you are xx

100% yes set a range not a set target for maintenance. Mine is 124- 129 lbs. It shows if I drop below it I'm not eating enough and if I go above it consistently it's time to log properly again!

Losing anything over Xmas is good in my book!

Currently sat munching on mango chunks

I'm 5'5 and 123-127 is my maintaince range, ive been this weight for year and the year before I maintained at 126-130. I eat around 1600 as a very rough average.

I think I'm just about starting to see what I think of as "what everyone else sees" rather than what I see. Sometimes I drop the barrier of analysing when looking at myself and get a glimpse of my true image, but it's very hard to gain that perception. It's taken me about 2 years of maintenance to get to this head state…

An inch and a half isn't much really, I doubt you will need to loose much to fit into it, and the motivation should be "if my wedding pics are me as I am now, will I regret not making a change when I look back at them in the future"? You're the only one who can do that and make the change but as a newish bride I can advise…

Mine goes in my sock, in my shoes, in the locker!

I also agree 30Ds is awesome and I've done RI30 but didn't see as good results but maybe because I really hated a few of the moves! I'd stick to one if I were you, easier to track progress and then once competed to the other one!

In 2016 I started pole and changed my life and body. I then broke my arm and lost at least 80% of my muscle mass and strength in recovery time. My goal for 2017 is to progress again whilst not hurting myself and try to get my body to the point where I loved it back in June! I miss my abs :(

I certainly don't average my recommended cals. I know I undereat some days but I also know I binge out more than that and alcohol is a factor. My maintaince cals are 1800 ish but I would for sure say I go over that in a week when averaged out. But then again my activity level can vary massively, from a Monday day sat in…

Love them...Apart from ab soreness when I sneeze. That is not fun.

I'm 125 lbs and feel fat and ugly at least 70% of the time. You know it's all in your head right? Don't expect being thin to solve all your problems. But it sounds like you at least have enough self loathing to get on with this and get healthy? I'd hold onto that!!

Hahahahaha short comings. Giggidy.

Clothing sizes are deceptive and, in my opinion, a head f**k. I'm a size 6 in some stores for a dress, im a ten in jeans, extra small in tops, and a size 14 in knickers if I don't want a muffin top. Figure that out!! Just wear what fits and looks good!

Good luck it's brutal but sooooo much fun!

My phone to have more than 2% battery. Totally can't be bothered to get my charger.
