3 months of maintenance recomp!
I got down to target weight and that's the pink shorts pic, I'm now eating intuitively and my weight has remained the same (give or take the 2-5lb bounce around) but I've got so much stronger and I'm loving my shape right now! Lovely to get smaller measurements without obsessing over food intake

WOOP bf% drop!
So my scales at home haven't been working properly for about 2 months, in that time I have stopped actively trying to lose weight and threw myself into training. I've "put on" about 2lbs as far as the scales are concerned which was bugging me as it didn't look or feel like it... then just now I put new batteries in my…

Hints and tips? little mission on...
So in a month I have a pole show I'm performing in. Now, I am not looking to lose weight per say but I guess 1 or 2 lbs wouldn't hurt, basically I want my current muscle mass to look as popping as possible! I'm doing strength conditioning daily and my abs are semi visible at the moment but I would love to have them nice…

Poll: pregnancy weight gain? Curious!
Hi all, I'm feeling down about my post baby body and the prospect of how much I need to do to get my body back (not that I think it will be even close to what you see in my profile pic taken in March) so I'm curious, how much did other mums gain during pregnancy? What did your bmi go up to? Did you manage to lose the…

What women wear whilst working out...
IS NONE OF YOUR GOD DAMN CONCERN UNLESS YOU ARE THE ONE WEARING IT. If she wants to wear an outfit where she feels good and shows off the body she has worked hard for, she should be neither shamed for this NOR does it open the door for you to harass that women. If she is wearing a big baggy outfit it does not make her…

Breastfeeding and trying to lose baby weight?
I'm 4 weeks post partum and am looking forward to getting back to exercise to start getting my body back, just curious about if anyone has experience in cutting calories but not effecting milk supply? Any tips? TIA!

A gentle reminder if gain has you baffled...
Maintained for 3 years. Never gained in that time over normal fluctuations. 3 weeks ago, I started weighing a solid 4-5 lbs higher than my happy weight. Then it was 5-6 lbs... till Sunday I toppled out at 7 lbs above my happy weiget range. What the hell??? I can't see a gain in my body... I can't remember over eating... oh…

Wafter retention question
Hello all, after recently being given the go ahead to work my body hard again after injury (and having 2 weeks off work) I've really hammered it hard for the last 3 weeks. I've been constantly sore for the three weeks (still taking rest days, eating well and stretching adequately) but I've "put on" 4lbs in this time that…

Parsnip puree oooooh so good
This is brilliant to add a "wet" element to a meat dish without using gravy. It's super yummy! I'm having with pork belly mmmmm 2 large parsnips 1 small white potato 1tsp wholegrain mustard 1 tsp maple syrup 30ml skimmed milk Peel the veg and boil until very soft, pop in a mini blender and blend for about 10 secs but not…

Ever wanted to see what 3 months of zero movement does to your muscles? Look inside!
So the brace is off after 3 months and this is the muscle loss. Basically all of it haha as in if I flex now, nothing moves! Before anyone pipes up, yes the angles aren't the same. Until I complete physio I can't rotate my shoulder out to straight!

AFTER INJURY RESULTS!!!! (pics!!)
Don't let the stuff life throws at you derail your goals!!! So it's been three months since I broke my arm badly. I got my brace taken off 2 days ago and am so happy to be able to carry on with my life finally! Now i've posted this on this forum because I didn't let it beat me. I spent bloody ages building muscle and a…

Herbal teas, 0 cals????
All my pukka teas I drink during the day are listed as 0 cals in MFP, whilst this seems wonderful surely it's not right??

Injury affecting my relationship with my body image :(
Sigh. I've been on this journey 3 years now. I've been at target weigh for nearly 2 of those and it's literally only in the last about 6-7 months I've FINALLY accepted and learn to love my body. I'd stopped picking at the "faults" and was loving being active and getting nice lean muscle and generally feeling awesome. Then…

Muscle weight vs fat weight? Anyone actually know?
So if you were to stop exercising (weight bearing) from injury and see a visible loss of muscle (inches too, for example I've lost an inch off my bicep) and see a visible increase in jiggly fat (again, gained inches on my love handle area) but the scale hadn't moved? Would you say that the loss of muscle but gain of fat…

Broken limb - my biggest challenge yet
Two days ago I broke my arm. I've snapped it clean in half, heard it snap and everything. Now I can't do anything! I can't exercise for at least 3 weeks to allow healing. (But it will be months before I can get back on my pole) I can't work .I can't cook. I can't even dress myself argh!!! Now the mission, DO NOT GAIN…

Got sick for 1St time this year
Yup. I allowed it. I found ways to fit eating whatever I wanted into maintenance, and got lazy eating my fruit and veggies for the first time in ages and boom, I got ill. Word of warning , maintaining weight is more than the number and aesthetic, don't forget to nourish yourself peeps!

To those struggling with scale changes and body image (most of us?!)
I'm posting this to hopefully, help at least one other person in a similar situation. Do you over obsess over your goal weight? Did you hit it once and never see it again and a matter of 2 lbs drives you insane? I did. I let it eat up a year... more even of my life. So below are 2 pics. One is my last year's weight graph,…

5'4" trying to get below 126.... taken a year and still not there! ! Advice????
I hit my magic GW of 126 over a year ago. I maintained for a bit but would always go through periods of trying to lose more as I still have jiggly bits I'd rather weren't there. This year I've kicked it into gear more as I came out of Christmas 5 lbs up and I've managed to loose 3 of those but can't get below! So I'm now…

Update of progress pic :)

Quality over quantity (good to know for lazy ones!)
So when I was fat I thought (like most of us) that if I didn't go to the gym all the time or go out for runs etc that I'd always be fat. Now I enjoy exercise but I'm also very lazy and yes I did exercise through my loss and maintenance but never in a routine or very often (sometimes not even once a week) and only ever saw…

Feeling sexy and strong
I just want to inform any ladies (or men! ) that if you want to super boost your confidence, improve strength and get good tone I can't recommend pole dance classes enough! I've only been doing it a few months and the changes in my body are noticeable (bum and abs!) , my flexibility has improved hugely and my confidence…

Not logged for a month, not gained :)
I've not been logging daily for over a month now, just got out of the habit but I weighed myself this morning and am the exact weight I was when logging relentlessly last month :) it's so comforting to find out I've finally taught myself how much/ what foods I should be eating without mfp having to tell me!

LADIES post your bust, waist, hip and bicep stats!
Mainly because I'm nosy and love seeing the shapes we come in!!

Pole class?
Does anyone here have any pole dancing experience? The exercise type? Not just rubbing yourself on a pole ;) I'm doing a 6 week course at the moment I was wondering how long people took before getting good at it?! I can certainly feel the muscle ache the day after its a great workout!

The cleaner you eat, the less you enjoy processed flavours?!
Is it just me? The less processed foods I eat the less I enjoy them. Even down to my protein shake, the false strawberry just tasted horrible today! I guess it's good that I'd rather eat an omlette than a doughnut (same cals!) But it can be annoying when out with friends as it's hard to not look like a food snob in…

The pill- coming off it appetite decrease?
It's a pretty specific question but has anyone come off the contraceptive pill (specifically cerezette) and had a loss of appetite? I normally struggle to stay in calories because I'm greedy and always hungry however I've had a dramatic loss of calorie intake totally unintentionally and I'm supposed to be maintaining!…
