  • Thank you everyone, not only have a lost a good amount of weight, but everyone I know loves my hair too <3
  • Thanks :D it was mostly just dieting, and a little bit of exercise. I think the biggest factor was drinking water! (just colored my hair yesterday, I been wanting to do it bright like this for years but was never brave enough before)
  • sorry I don't have a body picture... I never let that happen.
  • New music by Mike Posner, Be As You Are, Not That Simple. <3
  • You were exactly the weight I started at and you look way better than I do even now! I have lost just over 20, but I am also a few inches shorter at 5'7. Awesome job :D
  • Nope, I never asked for help, I provided an explanation for why I had people in my house, and why I couldn't just kick them out, that was the purpose of a lot of the information. I had already said it right there in in my original post, I have already dealt with those issues. I am moving on, I never asked for opinions…
  • I was born into a dysfunctional family, I have worked hard to be as stable as possible. My husband and I are actually quite functional, we been together over 8 years, lived together for over 5, and we have done well on our own, rarely do we fight even. I have always known his family was like this. My family was terrible…
  • That is what I told my husband when he said he resents me for being unhappy, "anyone would be unhappy in this situation! " I did agree, but I was not aware his father was moving in as well... We gave them 6 months, and I am holding to it. We keep things civil, I mean it isn't a bad environment, but the stress and tension…
  • I am happy for you, I believe my husband will not allow this to happen again either. He hates drama, but that is part of why we are in this situation, he didn't want to get in an argument about him saying no, and now he doesn't want to offend them by asking them to work harder on leaving, like I said, they're all so…
  • Thank you very much for understanding my situation, for the most part! We have talked a lot though and made a lot of things clear to eachother. I would describe him as emotionally lazy... I know that sounds bad, and I guess it is, but what was going on was he felt like he was being suffocated, his family is so reactive,…
  • I guess it is relevant but I forgot to mention, they don't have vehicles, his dad has not left our house in 4 months, we don't give them money and they don't have a way to make any. But I absolutely agree, they are terrible examples, yes that is a big part of the problem. I disagree that keeping the peace is risking my…
  • Thank you for your kindness and understanding, I don't really have anyone, but I did have a good talk with my mother in law. I told her what her son had said to me and my feelings about how no one is even trying to get on their feet. My husband is a very laid back person, he hates to ruffle feathers or make waves, he feels…
  • Wow, that escalated quickly. No, I made the choice to not force her 8year old daughter to live in crappy motels with drug dealers. Also, if you think turning family members away, who are in need of help is the right thing to do, well that is your prerogative, obviously she isn't doing meth here at my home, cps was informed…
  • 8 Months! You are impressive :)
  • I by no means justify my state, I am well aware that this is unacceptable. Also, I don't know if you have ever lived in a humid climate, but Houston has the uncanny ability of getting hotter at night than it was at dusk and even if the temps go down the humidity goes up, which is more uncomfortable than just being hot…
  • Well a lot of the things I love about being outdoors in Washington don't exist in Texas, but I ask myself the same question, I do put off enjoying my life, and there is no reason for it but self defeating inner monologue, if I could just turn it off I wouldn't be here right now, and I wouldn't have these problems. Stress…
  • You are absolutely right, I do try to eat good things, and if not for my husband I likely would succeed at eating well all the time, I have problems with portion control, especially when I do indulge in junk foods. I tell my husband all the time that we wont eat like this when our daughter is old enough to recognize eating…
  • Thanks for the advice everyone, I mean "get moving and eat better" is a no-brainer, but if it was that easy, why would so many people need help losing weight? It's just not that simple in practice, well it is, it's just not easy. Anyone with toddlers or babies also live in a hot humid climate? I hate going outside in 90+…
  • I'm 23, I weigh almost 270, 50 of which I gained while pregnant and then about 20 more since I switched from a job where I was on my feet all day to beingma stay at home mom. I have been overweight for about 8 years now, with my weight steadily rising since the beginning of high school. I just want to be healthy and…
  • Best of luck!
