It makes me feel better that woman my age and weight get the same kind of adjustments. I’m set to active because I always do my 10,000 steps. I’m going to trust my Fitbit 🙂

I’ve just been looking back on my Fitbit and it looks like it’s all about the active minutes. I did 20,000 steps last week but hardly any active minutes and only 400 exercise calories. I lost weight before eating all my exercise calories so I’m hoping it’s right!

My Fitbit is linked to MFP. I just wondered what adjustments other people get for 16,000 steps. 600 extra on top of active seems a lot

I did 10,000 steps yesterday and my total calorie burn for the day was 1,723 and i'm much shorter and weigh less than you.

The calories your fitband gives you would be TDEE. If you want to lose weight you have to eat less than that. Also 1660 seems low for 17,000 steps.

I have checked my goals and settings and both say maintenance. Its a little bit annoying that it always says I'm over but I know I'm not because i always leave 50ish calories spare because I like to go to bed early. I have to say apart from this I really love my fitbit, it tells me my TDEE is 1800 ish which i'm quite happy…

Hi, thanks for your reply. It's a bit confusing because the graph thingy says I'm over but the speedometer gauge thing says I'm in the zone. I'll try to ignore it!

So do you think i've got it set up right? 10,000 steps is about 3-4 miles for me? Should i not eat my extra exercise calories? I know that you guys don't know me or anything but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

How did you tweak it to give you less calories for walking? The only exercise i do is walking, my fitbit gives me about 400 extra for 10,00 steps (which i do eat!)
