Depends on how much she cheats ;-)

This. I see people logging their food on the low side and then counting their housework as high intensity "cardio"... :-1: That won't work
-
I really really really really really really hate it when women say they "dont want" muscles... as if they are easy to get
-
You don't really have to do ab exercises because your abs are really supporting everything you do. IF you "bulk" your abs, you get a bigger waistline. Just be aware. That said, I do some ab exercises when I'm on a bulk, so I'll see even more definition when I cut

Everything ;-)

She/he?? Pretty blonde natural hair

I'd set my calories at maintenance for a few weeks and just use exercise to create a deficit. (dont even log the exercise). You can heal your metabolism and eat more. 1300 calories doesn't seem like much at all. I'm 5'4" and I'm aiming for 1800-2000 calories per day (and I'm eating back my exercise calories, so 1800 would…

I support juicing for general health, if you need extra micronutrients in your diet and prefer to get them from natural sources (without the actual bulk of the food), but not for weight loss. Best of luck to you

This. GNC/ Nutrishop should be for muscle building supplements (preferably in powder form). Regular micronutrients can be smaller doses, in a form you can tolerate. I use Natures Plus, source of life gold chewables.
-
Take liquids or chewable (GNC tend to be megadoses, and they make me sick too) and take them before bed, or right after dinner. Never on an empty stomach

I'm 44 years old. Sorry for the low quality pictures - my phone sucks, and MFP made it worse. lol I lost 105 pounds over a year.("Before" picture at 250 pounds, at the bottom) Side by side picture: 145/144 pounds. I have some extra skin on my stomach. However, over the past 10 weeks I think I've managed to make it look a…

What does this even mean? If you have lots of muscle and you get super lean, you look awesome...not awful!
-
I'm 5'5" :-) SW 250 CW 145 Goal weight: I'm at it. 135-150 depending if I'm cutting or bulking. This is the "safe" range I've given myself for building muscle and cutting fat

IF you're eating 6000 calories a day, and your goal is weight loss, no. Otherwise I don't have enough information to give an answer for that... If your goal is weight loss, just burn enough to be in an adequate deficit. Exercise isn't even necessary for weight loss, so I'm not even sure there is a correct answer for this.

That's a funny looking walrus

First thing I'd do is dump the personal trainer. Save your money and spend it on quality food

I'm sorry to hear this. All I can really recommend is take a long walk and think about what you would like to do/ what goals would you like to accomplish this year? This month? Can I just be blunt? When I feel like crap, these forums don't make me feel any better...in fact, certain people can really turn a bad mood into a…

If I want something to the point where I'm dreaming about it, I'm eating it and fitting it in my calories for THAT DAY...lol!! It's not going to be something I wait around to "cheat" for... ;-)
-
I lost 105 pounds. It took a year. Don't be in a rush, and don't try to out-exercise a bad diet. Learn how to eat at a slight deficit (or even at maintenance) for a few weeks. Give it time. I know that sounds awful, but time will pass anyway. A year from now, you could be at goal. You can do it :-)
-
I'd say no. Not without a plan / goal. But that's just me
-
I don't log it because I'm lazy ;-) I do have a tracking book I take to the gym though...
-
I've been seeing a lot of this - and frankly I've been eating worse as well. I wonder if it has nothing to do with the moon.... not an excuse. just a possible reason?

My "cheat meal" is just about once a week when I have an unplanned outing. I don't do it on a regular basis. Its sort of like "rest days" at the gym. I don't plan them, but they happen, usually about every 8-9 days. No guilt and it's never the same. I lost 100 pounds. Cheat meals used to be 3 times a day (or more), 7 days…

I want to build up my legs. After weight loss, they are pretty "loose". The funny thing is, this picture was about a year after I finished chemo and i was finally feeling pretty good. It was my "I'm stronger now" picture - not really a muscle thing. But it sort of turned out that way. Ha!
-
You're amazing and don't need to "cut"...and you don't look manly. Ugh, people. I'm not sure why they say stuff like that. It honestly looks like you did a very lean muscle gain / recomp. Great job!

To attach files: In my browser, when I'm replying, I hit the little icon that looks like a paper with a folded corner. Then the "choose files" button comes up and I choose the file. Sorry, I'm not very good at tech support.

I like popcorn, or sunflower seeds as "movie snacks" (aka mindless eating). I have to be careful with sunflower seeds though, because they are high calorie.
-
This is my "baby muscle" - or my "funny flex" picture that started it all. I put it up as my profile picture and people acted all impressed...I thought it was just silly. But that was my first "aha, I can do this..." moment

I've compared TDEE, BMR, etc etc from other sources, and MFP numbers are pretty darned close. I think it can be trusted.
