I don't know of anyone that actually likes burpies. If they tell you they do then they are lying to you. Look closely at the DVD. You can tell even Sean T is thinking, "Oh please! not more burpies." Yup, Like any sane person. I hate burpies! No, I hate, HATE, HATE, HATE burpies!!! But I do like the effect they have on my…

I'm setting the lofty goal of 20.

Been there. Done that. And absolutely agree. I must say prepping for the "scope " definitely makes the short list for the the worst twelve hours of my life.
-
I would like running if it wasn't for the, you know,... running part.

When Chuck Norris blows out a candle, he can roundhouse kick you three times before it gets dark.

Monsters check under their beds for Chuck Norris.

With all of the pollution in the air, breathing is bad for you. We should all stop doing it immediately. This message is brought to you by the Save the Sand and Gravel Coalition.

I think I'd have to file that one with the shaker belt machines from the Fifties...

I have the same issue with Runkeeper and Fitbit. I just make sure I delete one of the runs that come across before MFP posts the Activity to my page.

Nothing beats a late spring pre-dawn run... Outside.

Can you be Genius and not clever?

In all the pictures of me running I look like I'm in pain.

T25 is good. But Sean T must hate me. He has to, why else would he make my DVD harder that everyone else's? :)

47 Male Married w/ 2 kids 6' or 6'-1" with shoes Current Weight 185ish Goal Weight 185ish but without all the soft stuff in the middle. I run 2-3 times a week, lift 3-4 times a week and enjoy a really nasty Boot Camp workout on Saturdays.

You keep reading a thread called "You know you're addicted" and you keep saying, "Yup. Done that. Been there." and thinking are they spying on me or what? Now, what was I doing? Oh yeah the pear I'm about to eat.

Runkeeper and Fitbit both feed into MFP so they keep doubling up on me and I have to delete one of the entries.

Timed sit-ups in a Karate Class. Two minutes of fragrant emissions with every crunch. I felt sorry for the guy holding my feet.

Uhm, I was going to add something but I think everyone above has it pretty much covered. Except for this As for contradictory advice on what to eat... How much is more important than what. Although you do get more veggies per calorie than pizza, sometimes you just have to have a slice (or not). Just stick to your calorie…

I agree! Better yet Don't Diet! Instead start focusing living a healthy life. Eat a balanced diet in reasonable portions (reasonable being a variable amount based on where you are and the healthy place you want to be) and get a healthy amount of exercise. Make changes in small steps if you have to, (it probably better if…

Ok, I'm kind of the (non-dieting) S/O here... Except my wife and I aren't "Dieting", we're making a conscious choice to move to a healthier lifestyle. I've decided to back her up in her journey, by starting one of my own... The way I see it we do not have different goals. We have the same one, to be as healthy as we can.…

Did not like my R2D2 impersonation

That's about 9:21/mile... It's better than me. I haven't broken the 2-20 barrier...yet. I think for most beginning runners that 10min/mile is a standard goal. Guess what? You're there! Congratulations. But any time is an "Ok, time" as long as you are getting fit and enjoying it. Isn't that the real goal?

Since we're talking hypothetically... and we're saying two people have the exact same CI and the exact same CO the answer is C both will lose the same. But we live in the real world where nothing is exactly the same... If Clean-eating person miss-measures their Green Beans or Spinach they are adding 2 or 3 calories. If…

Did you learn to ride a bike with out falling off a few times? Do you parallel park first time every time? Have you never tripped wile walking? I'm betting the answer is, "No". This isn't really any different. So, you just did a big ol' face plant. Are you going to stop walking or pick yourself up brush yourself off and…

And.. That's what she's talking about.

Exactly. You are doing this for you, not anyone else. You are you, they are them. If what's easy for them is hard for you... it's hard. Mr. Muscles over there can bench press 260. That doesn't mean 100 isn't hard for me, and it's still going to be work for me to get to 120, just like it's going to be work for him to get to…

One thing that I've gleaned from all of the Success Stories (on MFP and other places like it) is that the most important thing is a positive attitude. "You can do this!" Remember you're trying to change your life. And just like the rest of life, mistakes, missteps, slip-ups, trip-ups, fails, and falls happen. Not only are…

She should have told me she preferred lobster.

A couple of Big Ol' Thumbs Up to you. I did C25k and then ran a 5k and I'm going to run another this weekend. Running is not addictive. I can stop anytime I want... I just need to make it to the next street light, no the stop sign, or to that bush,... hey, look, another street light.

The problem with sweets is that they have little or nothing that trips the little "I've had something to eat" trigger, so you can eat way too much before your brain catches on. So one thing you can do is eat something with a lot of protein or fiber right before your sweet snack. Then by the time your sweets hit you'll…
