My baby girl loves orange juice and chocolate ice cream (not at the same time though!). I never cared for them before. I'm finding Gatorade in small amounts is great for pregnancy. I like to mix it with water. It keeps me hydrated and helps with the heat and even seems to help a bit with leg cramps.

Wow you all rock for keeping the weight gain in check! I'm 20 weeks and have gained 23 lbs. I think about how I'm only halfway through and if I multiply that weight number by 2....yikes! So back to tracking I go.

I'm 20 weeks and have gained 23 lbs so far. Doc says I should try to stay at 30 or less gained by the end of pregnancy. So I'm back to tracking again. It's tough some days to feel like your body is not entirely your own! There's so much you can't control during pregnancy, and baby's gotta eat.

Happy Tuesday everybody! I just started a new workout class yesterday and I'm loving it so far. Anybody else love the feeling of sore muscles? It makes me feel like I'm getting somewhere on this long journey. I haven't weighed in yet. First I'm working on building the habit of logging all my food. I'm thinking I'll do my…

Hey everybody! I hope it's not too late to jump in on this. My weight today is 192.6 and my goal weight for Easter will be 172.

Update: I got my a1c level back to normal range by doing 3 months of a low-carb diet and especially watching sugar intake (won't buy anything over 10g sugar per serving). For me the Metformin was not necessary. I agree with the above poster who said Metformin is not a quick fix! It takes hard work too.

I have had this problem in the past. Strengthening the shins muscles to balance helps a lot. Walk/treadmill on an incline or even just doing toe raises with/or without resistance will strengthen the shins.

Ditto on the nausea. I gave up on Metformin after one week of bad nausea and craving carbs worse than ever! Doc said just focus on eating low carb/more protein and check back in 3 months. I'll try to update with the results when I get my next blood work done.

Everything from size 6 to 16!

Cool, didn't realize it would help with weight loss.

The beauty of MFP is that you can eat whatever the hell you want! Just log it and stay accountable. I don't like to give myself "cheat" meals/days, I'd rather just work whatever food it is into my daily allowance. If I have a day where I'm just not feeling it, I'll set my calories to maintenance level rather than lose 1…

Hey everyone. My name is Rachel and I'm 28. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and pre-diabetes. I've been overweight (now obese) for about 4 years and trying to get pregnant about 3 years with my hubby. My fertility doc recommends a low carb or paleo diet. He also prescribed metformin but so far insurance won't approve…

Nice work Terri! I'm down to 193 this week, that's 10 pounds lost in 12 weeks. Not quite at goal either but glad to have those pounds shed anyway! Thanks Jamie for setting this up and GOOD JOB everyone who made it to the finish line!

Checking in late for last week...maintain again, 198lbs. Frankly I'm just glad it's been maintenance and no gains so far. I've had a rough couple of weeks with migraines. It's taking all the energy i have just to get through the day and make it to work. I have no energy left to focus on logging or exercise lately...blah.…

5'5 SW: 205 CW: 198 GW: 160 I've been in the 150s and 140s before. I look average at 150 and comfortable and I looked GOOD in the 140s. However, both were hard to maintain, especially 140. This time around I'm aiming for 160. I want it to be easier to maintain, plus I want to put on some muscle.

198 lbs, that's -2 for this week! Goal #1 is done and goodbye 200s!!
