  • Have you tried Pinterest? I don't bother with other recipe sites anymore. So many interesting ideas from every imaginable source and all with pictures.
  • Lol, 32 pounds is awesome! Definitely take some new photos, even if you don't post them. You can decide later. Great work, keep it up!
  • The difference is in relation to the water content of cooked rice. It depends how you cook it (i.e. is it al dente or is it soggy) and every batch is usually a little different. The only true way to calculate would be to weigh your rice raw then weigh the cooked rice to work out how much water weight you have and use your…
  • Why don't you get a fitbit and see how many steps you actually take and what your heart rate does. It's ridiculous to think that just because you're being paid means you're not being active. What about professional athletes? They get paid! It all depends how active you are.... measure it!
  • You can get some really low cal cream cheeses and salsas, great with carrot sticks or rice crackers (if you can spare the carbs on the crackers). Sugar free jelly is awesome for a sweet tooth. Or you can have portioned out proteins ready to go. Water, black coffee or Pepsi Max (I have a Pepsi Max problem
  • Protein powder, seafood, kangaroo (if you're in Australia). All high in protein, low in fat.

  • Try planning one cheat meal a week. Actually plan what you will have. It gives you that small break from dieting as well as something to look forward to.
  • You're early days but my guess is your carbs are too high at 50% and protein too low at 20%. I do 40p/30c/30f but each person is different.
  • A lot of food is already in the MFP database. If you're eating packaged food with a barcode just use the scan feature and alter the serving size to reflect what your scale shows. If you're recording your fresh fruit and veg or meat, look in the database for an appropriate entry. The ones with the green ticks mean MFP have…
  • Find a good personal trainer who knows nutrition. I'm currently doing contest prep for a fitness model comp and my trainer has increased my calories to 1800 per day (I was inadvertently around 1600) with 40% protein, 30% carbs & 30% fat. I'm 5'9 and 64kg (approx 141lb) and I'm losing fat measurements on this diet. If…
  • It would be doubling up on steps definitely. Perhaps you should consider a fitbit that measures heartrate if you think you're being ripped off in calories burned. But keep in mind that none of them can really accurately measure that sort of thing. It's not an exact science.
