@heybales How do you find the 5 minute graph? And is it only online not in the app? Thanks

Ok thanks. I will try contacting them

I'm 5'7" and currently 134 and maintaining. I usually eat 2000-2300. I normally get 12-13k steps on my Fitbit, including roughly a 2 mile walk each day. I do a 20-30 min workout with weight machines 2x a week.

Seems healthy enough but a bit boring. I manage to feed 3 of us, including a 17 yo boy for just at or under the thrifty level. I try to match up coupons with sales (but I don't do coupons in a big way. Most trips include a few coupons, not huge amounts). I shop primarily at Aldi, which has some really great prices, but…

Granola is dead simple to make (and much much cheaper than buying it as well). I make mine loosely based on a recipe, but it's not the same each time. Basically old fashioned oats are the base. An oil (vegetable or coconut) and a sweetener (honey usually, but others would work - and you can sweeten to your taste). Then all…

Complex carbs (veggies, brown rice, whole wheat flour, etc) are supposed to cause less of a blood sugar spike, so maybe try to shift the carbs you are eating to less white flour, sugar, pasta. If you need to, go half whole grain , half white at first. Good luck!

I don't know how often you like to weigh yourself, but I found using a trending weight very helpful to see if I am basically maintaining or whether my weight is trending up or down. I'm using Trendweight now since I've got a Fitbit, but before that I used happy scale (for iOS). There is also one for android (libre ?). I…

I had the same issue of being so used to the smaller number of calories that eve when I reached maintenance, I kept losing. Another 13 pounds actually. I've been very slowly trying to add weight. I'm Almost back up to my lower limit now. One thing I found helpful was to set my goal to gain 0.5 pounds/week (even though I…

Walking is mostly what exercise I get. About 30 min (2 miles) a day. Sometimes a bit more. Has worked wonders for increasing the calories I can eat and I really enjoy walking through the neighborhood and listening to podcasts.

When my younger son was a toddler, he was very underweight and I added heavy cream and cream of coconut (I think that's what it was) to anything I reasonably could. I also got some sort of pediasure type drink that wasn't milk based. Sort of more like high calorie juice/koolaid. I thought it would be more appealing in the…

You should definitely be able to eat more than 1200-1350 to maintain! I'm also 5'7" but much older, 50, and I'm currently maintaining around 130-135 for the past 6 months. I'm eating 2000-2200 most days. I walk about 2 miles (30-35 minutes) every day with total steps including that walk of around 12k a day and strength…

Remember that what you say you are going for is low carb high fat. You set your target macros for low carb high protein.
-
Wow! Yes, I think you really should be able to eat more. I'm also 5'7" and trying to maintain at 135. I'm eating 2000-2200 most days (and if I have too many days closer to 2000, I start slowly losing again). I also don't do near the amount of exercise you do and am probably older (50). I do strength training 2x week and…

It's really up to you. That said, I average probably 12000 steps a day with a very few at 10K and several days a week at 14-16K. I have my activity level set at lightly active and always earn extra calories. Usually 250-500 extra. Yesterday I had a busier day and had 15,750 steps and got an additional 660 calories. I'd…

I am no professional, but it sounds to me like you need more calories. You also really need to see if you can talk to a professional- maybe a walk in clinic at least. All I know is, I'm 5'7" and 50 yo and I'm eating 2200+ per day and not managing to gain any. I'm also trying to gain a few pounds, but I'm way heavier than…

Somehow my Fitbit and MFP together don't work this way. I had negative calories around 11 pm last night (but small, like -11). I walked upstairs, brushed teeth, got ready for bed. Nothing strenuous. I was figuring I might break even or be less negative this morning, but I had +41 calories left this morning. I'm not…
-
My iOS app tells me that negative adjustments are not enabled also, but clearly they are as every morning I have negative calories, until I have moved around some. I also have a charge HR. I have my activity set to lightly active, but usually earn my way from around negative 100 to positive 3-500 extra calories a day.…

I'm 5'7" and 50 years old. I've been maintaining for about 6 months. It wasn't until I got a Fitbit for Christmas though, that my gradual downward trend stopped and the real maintaining happened. I'm eating 2000-2200 most days. I walk about 30 minutes/2 miles daily and workout 2x a week. So, I would guess that you are…

I don't have any experience with this, but maybe you can still do some lower intensity exercise sooner than your full gym workout.
-
It really varies a lot by person and personality. I find I still need to count calories or I tend to not get enough calories. I've been basically in maintenance since late last August, but I continued to lose. I have eased up on my logging. I don't weigh most of my fruit and vegetables anymore, especially the green…

We really need a little more information. What calorie intake are you currently eating? And are you currently gaining, maintaining, or losing weight and how much per week?
-
You need to start upping your calories now. If you are thinking about maintaining, but still loosing 1.5 lbs/week, you are way low for maintenance. I would jump immediately up to no more than a 250 calorie deficit. That will still have you at a deficit, but at least get you used to eating closer to maintaining. You may see…

I got a Fitbit charge HR for Christmas and I'm really enjoying it. I used to think they weren't worth the money, but then decided I really wanted some better handle on how much energy I was expending a day. Plus there wasn't much else I wanted for Christmas and the deals were great for Black Friday. I really wanted a wrist…

I found I really didn't like going over the calories I'm allotted, so after continuing to lose once I set my goal to maintain, I finally have changed my goal to gain 0.5 pounds per week. Now, I don't really want to gain that much (or at least not that fast), but I do want to gain a few pounds very slowly. It also seems to…

Darn! I was hoping I could get it to remind me. I thought I had gotten my movement each hour, but I missed 4 pm (and then again at 8 pm- I had no steps that hour, but got lots done on my taxes. I'm ok with that trade off.)
-
I also have the charge HR, but I didn't know you could get it to remind me to move - and I know it isn't doing it because yesterday I missed an hour. How do you get it to remind you to move @shanna7787 ?
-
Thanks for that info. I hadn't found the longest stationary period yet. Now I am more motivated to try to move a little bit every hour.
-
I would suggest some sort of activity tracker. You can get an app for your phone to count steps (but then you have to be carrying your phone all the time). I tried a couple of the cheaper trackers before getting a Fitbit charge HR for Christmas. The others worked, but I really liked the Fitbit challenges and the ability to…

I find the amount of salad dressing they give you with salads really ridiculous. I usually only use 1/4-1/3 of the packet of dressing if that. Once I factor in my actual dressing amount, I usually find the salads fairly reasonable calories for me. OTOH, I've gotten a good bit more active since I started MFP and then…

Did you set the steps device in MFP to Fitbit? Also, yesterday my charge HR wasn't syncing for some reason. But it's working again today.
