  • I had 1.5 cups Cheerios with a cup of almond milk, 1/2 cup of plain cottage cheese and a banana. I love cottage cheese; I just hate how high in sodium it is. I could easily eat a cup of it but I can't afford over 600mg of sodium for it.
  • I don't know if it was calorie counting or exercising more than I did when my period was regular. But a few times I was late by a few days, and normally my cycle is very predictable (every 28 days). I chalked it up to probably exercising more.
  • I love lasagna rolls but mine are meatless to keep calories down. My recipe makes 10 servings (one roll) and it's only 197 calories per serving plus only 380mg of sodium. I keep a close eye on sodium so I tweaked the recipe to meet those needs. My boyfriend loves them and he's not dieting or trying to lose weight.
  • I only buy Marzetti ranch or Cardini caesar dressing. I've been using caesar more lately.
  • I pre-log when I have to work the next day although I typically eat the same breakfast and lunch with a few slight variations. During the weekend and my day off during the week I log as I go and plan my dinner around that. I'm pretty much a creature of habit for lunch and breakfast, though.
  • I work 7:30-6 (usually get home around 6:30-6:45) and I'm on my feet 95% of the day since I work in a veterinary clinic. There are days where the last thing I want to do is come home and work out, but I just somehow find the drive and push myself to do it. It gets easier when you lose more weight and have more energy. I…
  • Taco Bell. :'( Sure, I could still order tacos but that isn't something I typically would order from there. I used to order the really calorie heavy foods such as a quesarito. So good but I think that alone had about 600-700 calories, not to mention God knows how much sodium. Taco Bell was definitely my comfort food. These…
  • I eat them sometimes because I like them. Caramel and white cheddar are my favorite. :) I don't eat them all the time, but I do enjoy them from time to time.
  • My recipe I use 1 lb 93/7 ground beef, one can each of chili beans, dark red kidney beans, whole sweet kernel corn (the corn is weird, I know lol). I also add 8oz can of no salt added tomato sauce and 2tbsp tomato paste. In addition I also add ground cumin, cayenne pepper, and crushed red pepper to give it the chili taste.…
  • I recently (in the past two weeks) have started incorporating strength training back into my routine 3x/week. I can definitely tell a difference in how I look at this weight vs how I looked 20 lbs lighter previously. My thighs don't look as flabby now as they did even when I was smaller. I don't lift heavy by any means. I…
  • Steps today = 18,842. I walked 8.03 miles today. It helps that I'm on vacation this week so I have time to get a lot of walking in. Yesterday and Sunday I walked 9 miles each day. When I'm back at work, I usually walk 3-4 miles depending on the day, plus about 3-4 miles after work. :)
  • I love Jillian. Her workouts are very effective. I'm going to do No More Trouble Zones here in a bit. I know my body is going to be screaming at me, but it was really effective when I did it several years ago.
  • I just bought the Ozeri food scale also. I figured I couldn't beat $12. :) I love it since the unit button is on the top. My old scale it would default to ounces and if I needed grams, I had to press a button on the bottom. It was rather annoying.
  • Probably not any sillier than me walking circles in the apartment Haha. I walk several miles a day doing this. Whatever helps you get steps in. :)
  • I don't log my exercise calories because quite frankly I have no idea how many calories I am burning exactly. My pedometer gives me a number but I don't believe it. At 5'6" 175 lbs, I highly doubt I burned 1k calories walking 9 miles lol. I'm going to get a chest strap HRM soon and I'll probably log it then. I've also…
  • Logging my food honestly doesn't bother. It takes 1-2 minutes at most to log an entire meal. I usually log my meals for the next day so I know where I stand, instead of logging as I'm eating. My biggest frustration is when I make meals that have several servings so I have to weigh everything exactly to make sure each…
  • I did low carb once upon a time and I didn't eat bread or anything starchy. That was down right miserable. These days I wouldn't say I'm intentionally avoiding bread, but some days it just doesn't fit into my calories. I do like the option of being able to eat bread if I desire. I try and keep my sodium levels down and…
  • I used to do No More Trouble Zones (strength) and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism (cardio). Both those work outs kick my butt. They are longer though. About 52 minutes with warm up and cool down/stretch. I saw great results with both.
  • I love cats. I have 3 and that's pretty damn good for me considering I'm a veterinary technician and always have people coming into our clinic because they found a stray that needs a home. I decided a while ago that 3 was my max, though, no matter how cute the other cats are. My cats have been with each other for a while…
  • They used to be REALLY good, but apparently they've changed a bit. A few people I work with commented on how they don't taste very good now and I thought they were crazy. One of the doctors at work actually gave me some of hers because she doesn't like how they taste now. After the past few bars I've eaten, I do agree the…
  • I have no/really low arches so ASICS are the only shoe that is comfortable for me. My favorite is the Gel Frantic line. I walk around 3-5 miles at work and it's the only shoe I can wear so my feet aren't killing me at the end of the day. Though I've found some styles of ASICS aren't comfortable at all.
  • I'm around 180 5'6" and to lose a pound a week I'm at around 1600. Most days I actually eat 1450-1500.
  • Sodium is my enemy during TOM. As long as I don't eat a lot of sodium (such as eating at restaurants) then I'm generally good. If I have too much sodium over the recommended amount then I can expect at least a 5 lb water weight gain. So I drink lots of water, keep sodium at an acceptable level and exercise. With that I…
  • I drink two cans of Diet Mt Dew daily plus 3-4 packets of the sugar free powder mixes for water, and I've never had any issue with weight loss. I've heard some people can be sensitive to artificial sweeteners, such as headaches, but I don't buy that it causes weight gain. Some people are even going as far to say aspartame…
  • Add one more person to the list of those that hates burpees. If I have to do them I do the modified version. Burpees along with mountain climbers KILL my knees and I don't consider my knees to be bad since I can do other high impact exercises.
  • If I want to have a burger I'll buy the 93/7 beef. It's a lot more expensive at almost $5/lb but it's only 160 calories per 4 ounces. We also buy turkey burger but that's 250 calories so I tend to not use that for burgers knowing I'll be putting mayo and cheese on it and using a bun.
  • I recently tried strawberry cheesecake and it was freaking delicious!! Cookies and cream is my favorite. I personally find the primarily chocolate flavors to be absolutely disgusting. I don't know if there's too much sweetener, but the taste is so bitter and gross.
  • Oikos Triple Zero is the only yogurt I buy since it has quite a bit of fiber. I love the strawberry, peach and mixed berry, but now I just eat the vanilla. The other flavors aren't available in the large tubs and it's more cost efficient buying it that way since I can get about 8 servings from a tub.
  • I love shrimp cocktail, but the high sodium turns me off. :(
  • Diet Mt Dew. I have two cans every morning and the rest of the day I drink water flavored with sugar free powdered mixes. Gotta have my caffeine!
