We don't have health concerns (or very young/old), so we embrace the heat wave by going out for walks. We bring water and walk along the river, so that the kids and dog can play in it. For the pup, I keep her on the grass to protect her paws. There's only one larger road that we have to cross that might be hot on her paws,…

I had to stop eating the office treats. If I had one, I would have many more. Now, I always bring in my own food, including pre-logged treats. Having the "all or nothing" rule has been really helpful for me, as I struggle to manage moderation as well.

I love mine!

Thighs are far superior to the breast. They are just so darn delicious! Especially cooked on the BBQ, or over an open fire if you have that option!

Well, that sounds amazing!

I noticed that my aggressive deficit (1lb/ week) significantly increased my anxiety. When I finally figured it out (through searching on here; thanks MFPers!), I decreased my deficit to the 0.5lb/week, my anxiety subsided to its normal amount of annoyance (lol). I'm here because I had gained weight, and wanted to lose it.…

I think you're right on track. You mentioned impatience and giving up - it's a choice. Quick results yield unwanted side effects; slow progress requires patience, but can significantly decrease your chances of experiencing unwanted side effects. Choose what works best for you (hint: the correct answer is "slow progress") ;)

You got a lot of helpful answers on your other (identical) thread. I saw you said that it double posted.... Maybe go check out that other one again?

All recipes are "kid friendly" Mine don't care for really spicy foods, so I only make those for myself.

Allot a certain amount of calories per meal, and then meal plan to ensure you meet those smaller calorie goals. It takes planning and time, but the task is easy.

I pin my bangs back with bobby pins. Have you tried them? I cross them for a better hold.

I would just say that I want to remain proactive with my health because I sit for 8 hours a day. My doctor would write me a note with that.

Great job! I agree with others that it's normal, and that the weight loss will slow down. Keep doing what you're doing and reassess if the weight loss continues at that high rate after a few weeks.

I struggle with the naysayers and non-supporters as well. I have been working really hard and feel pride in my accomplishments! Then someone will come along with their comments and it just brings me down. I struggle to bring myself back up because of diagnosed depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. My illnesses…

My goal is 10,000 steps, but my average is 13,000 steps.

Mmmmm maybe I'll make some fries tomorrow, to go with my pulled pork :)

Thanks to pp for posting the frame calculator. I'm not sure what my goal weight will be. I just picked a weight on the lower end of my BMI - and I'm already in the healthy range. Maybe the calculator will be helpful for me.

Anti-depressants increase appetite, but they don't create a need for a calorie increase. It's very normal for people to gain weight on them because of their increased appetite. With that said, if your logging your calories accurately, you should be able to control this so that you don't gain weight. I'm sure that there is…

It gave me 1150-1350 calories :/ No.

She is so very lucky to have a friend that cares so much for her :) I agree with the above statement though. Sometimes, the person needs to learn on their own, and that's ok! If she chooses to ask for your help - great! If not, you know you have already tried 100 times. It sounds like you've done your best. It's up to her…
