  • It is harder. Seriously. Try to think of the positives of eating good for you food. YES that pizza smells amazing, but it's the poison for the body! That refreshing fruit salad you prepped is fruit of the gods, and that chicken salad feels sooooo much better in the tummy than that greasy burger would. Pre-plan, meal prep,…
  • I just try and be a little under my cal goal every day, then when a special occasion meal comes up, or my hormones override all sense of reason or control (like once a month), I let loose a little. If I KNOW it is going to be a high cal day ahead, I will be extra lean the day before. And I have to talk real nice to myself…
  • General rule of thumb, 100 cal/mile of walking or jogging. I'd take the 579 for sure. And check what you have your weight set to for the fitbit app.

Anyone have thoughts on that?

My top pics (for a person with a serious sweet tooth!) are: 1) Plain/Lower-cal Greek yogurt (Trader Joe's is the best), 1/8 c nuts, 1 tsp honey. 2) Apple with PB- like the young lady mentioned above, you must pre-spread the peanut…
  • I have been counting calories for so long it's second nature. I used to do it old-school, pen and paper with a Calorie King book, then with the internet to help me look things up, now with this app. You will get burned out. Take a break, stop counting, then go back to it when you see the scale start to creep up.…
  • Oh, and anytime I go off the pills, the weight melts off. For me, it's a thing.
  • I have been pretty strict about diet and exercise all my adult life. ANYTIME I have tried to go on oral contraception I gain between 5-12 lbs. It does not matter which kind, or how low the dose. And to only gain that much takes extreme effort. Sugar cravings, constantly bloated, UGH! I just can't. Going in to see about a…
