Ok our bodies are designed to either burn glucose as fuel, or burn fats as fuel. As…
  • Hey girs sorry I didnt respond sooner to the questions about the keto diet. Its actually "ketogenic" I did a typo and made it into 2 words accidentally. What is it? Well, our body usually burns glucose for fuel.We consume carbohydrates and they are broken down in our body and enter our bloodstream. Our body responds by…

  • Well,as someone who has been insulin resistant and diagnosed PCOS, I concur with the carb thing.I thrive on low carb.Being in a ketogenic state is simply awesome for me.I kind of cycle to replenish glycogen stores every so often but my overall energy hits the sky in keto. Its easy to say one size fits all, but people, it…
  • no..lol..I actually think that looks revolting.I hate hotdogs and cant eat wheat(allergic),so not much there for me.
  • one more heads up.if you just plug food into mfp you will mostly get total carbs.on keto you are interested in net carbs.this means doing a bit of research and package reading.Personally i have been trying to add foods followed by (net carbs) for all of us low carbers :)
  • i eat 40 grams and under carbs.keto is the only way I can really lose weight.I have been insulin resistant,PCOS etc....which all goes away with weight loss.I am starting to believe that many things are not so much "disorders" but rather the body's response to being carb intolerant.I feel like a million bucks with energy…
