Congratulations! Dunno if it's my take blew or what, but nine of your pixels shows for me.

Glad you found that helpful, bfanny!

You can get a graph here, too, and an look at a week, a month, and I think 6 months, 90 days, a year and all. Look under "reports".

Yeah, you right. When I was in high school, 5-7.5 and a maternally enforced 125 pounds (my menstrual periods stopped for 18 months, and the doctors then didn't know why), I wore size 12 pants and 14 jackets (swimmer's shoulders). Now, at 63, 6-6 and maintaining at 140 to 145 pounds, I'm in size 10 pants. Yeah, right. (I…

I'm in maintenance, weigh every morning and log the weight in a notebook I keep in the bathroom. Every few weeks I go back and log all the weights at once into MFP. WHen I was losing, I logged the weights into MFP daily.

I'm 5-6 (was 5-7.5 in college) and at my goal weight of 140-145 pounds since early November. Heaviest was 213. Vanity sizing means that I'm now wearing size 10 pants, sometimes 8, even though I wore 12s when I was an inch and a half taller and 20 pounds less.

I sloughed off after Friday's 5,482 steps and got in only 4,651 on Saturday. Sundays are hard because I'm trying to find news for two states, and never remember to take my lunch and usually wind up sitting late. 1,774 steps. On my 30-minute lunch break today I trotted down 21 stories and ran back up 6 ... okay, 5 1/2; the…

What made me realize what a slug I am was discovering the pedometer in my work-issued iPhone. The Fitbit came later, when I decided I wanted something that didn't need a pocket. I charged my Charge in the office today. I do steps in the shower. :)

That sounds reasonable. :) Though I'd say every day's weight is real. Fluctuations are real, too.

Don't bother with supplements. There ain't no magic pill. Eat a decent diet, log everything you eat and drink, stay within the calorie limits and get in exercise.

I got in 5,482 steps yesterday, says the Fitbit. Many of those were walking in place while baking, showering, and brushing my teeth. (For the baking, I stuck the Fitbit in my sock. For the shower, I put it into a quart-size Freezer ziplock, fold the ziplock around the Fitbit, then twine a rubber band around it on my calf.)…

Superfast Fitbit battery drain is apparently a *very* common problem. Check in at the Fitbit site; you may be able to return it and get a new one. (Or if you bought it at Costco, they're *wonderful* about returns.)

Good thoughts about the dog. :) I also work in an office. I can't always do this, but I try to get up every couple hours and walk around the hall for a few minutes, and to use my lunch half-hour to walk, and then eat at my desk.

Keep doing what you're doing: Keep walking, and eventually the enthusiasm will return. Like writing, playing an instrument, or any other skill, sometimes it's a slog and other times it's a joy. You work through the slog to get to the joy.

Try a Google search along these lines: oatmeal peanut butter muffins -flour putting the "minus sign" in front of a word tells Google you don't want to see anything with that word. Here's the first one that came up: https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=2379526 Here's a savory peanut butter recipe:…

What Elsinora said. :) And if you're not logging your food, start there. Find a free pedometer app for your phone (if you have an iPhone 5 or later, it has a built-in step counter). For your early goals, just go for more steps than the day before. For menu ideas, check out the blog here. I mean, you're here already, so you…

You've gotten a bunch of good suggestions. You can also keep an eye on the blog here - it often has recipes, or links to recipes. For instance, this - the URL explains what it's about. :) (I emailed it to myself to check out when I have time, so I don't lose it.)…

For what it's worth, I've set my goal at 140 to 145. If I go over, I redo my settings for a half-pound/week loss. Once I'm back in range (and it hasn't taken long), I return to maintenance. If it's under, I give myself a few extra cals by giving myself a weight gain setting. Just for grits and shins, I added up all…

Welcome! You might also want to check out some of the message board groups - some interest based, some age-based. But I'd bet that 99 percent of the people who come here needing to lose weight (and those who need to gain, for that matter) have tried many, many, many times. I'm 63, have been fighting fat since high school…

Re the 410-cal reduced-fat muffin: Reduced-fat baked goods often up the sugar. I don't know what Dunkin Donuts uses, but one common replacement for fat is applesauce. And those big muffins most places serve these days are 3x the size of a standard muffin-tin muffin. Even things I expect to be high-calorie can surprise me.…

How much does your soup pot hold? If it's a 4-quart pot, make yourself familiar with how it looks with 1 qt, 2 qts, 3 qts in it. That'll be 4, 8, 12 cups. Divide total calories by the number of cups you've made. Or keep a couple 2qt pitchers, sturdy clear or translucent plastic marked in cups. (If you can't find any marked…

I can't add a lot to others' excellent comments about obsession. I'll just add that I've been fighting fat since high school fat wars with my mother, who *was* obsessive and demanded that I keep my weight at 125 (I was then 5-7.5, now 5-6). About 20 years ago I got down to 145 with Weight Watchers. After a while I stopped…
