thanks so much editorggrl!

thanks everyone :) Hi Karen - I made this rhubarb and custard tart, it was TDF and def worth a little blow out over. My hubby is a gardener and came home with the rhubarb so it had to be done! https://instagram.com/p/3OCKuJBFCQ/?taken-by=leannetownsend

thanks Jack - good ideas here. I am trying to eat more today actually so let's see.

My husband wishes I were more like you!! I do find it quite tiring these days though, milling around shops. But would far rather go on a shopping mission alone or with my daughter - not with friends - too many competing agendas for the day ;)

Great, am on the line between sizes so it says to go to the next size up putting me in a large. Thanks both!
-
great thank you.
-
Another question - are they much more accurate than logging activity via MFP?
-
thanks shadow - stupid question but am guessing you mean just to measure the circumference....
-
fab - thanks all. Will do this :)
-
p.s. with the above plan, I choose ONE of the cardio options once I've done the weights.
-
I'm sitting between a 14 and 16, so still some way to go.
-
a size 8 wow Christine that's impressive! If I were you, they'd never be able to keep me out of the shops. It's the one thing I don't really do when I'm larger, buy myself nice clothes. Can't wait to look good again (I don't look bad in clothes now as such, but don't see the point in spending decent money if they're not…

thanks jack, sounds like it's working great for you. funnily enough I have just had a poached egg, smoked salmon and spinach! Not bad coming in at 189 cals. I would love to add in avocado to that but it would give me less cals for the rest of the day. I have been trying to breakfast like a queen, lunch like a princess,…
-
well done Christine :) Not sure what an 8 is... if it's like the US, then that would be a UK 12 I think, I have belly issues from having babies, but I've learnt to love my belly and buy bikini bottoms that are a bit higher ;)
-
Christine are you at target weight yet? You must be at least a size 12 if not a 10? I guess everyone has different goals. I think I look and feel right at a size 12 but I have a broad-ish frame I think. Maybe if I were slighter I'd want to take it further.

mads that's interesting about gentle exercise. I will go mad if I start going down to route of trying to understand these things in intricate detail so I am thinking perhaps I can do exercise every day but mix it up with weights in the gym one day, swim or walk another. Like I say I ride my horse a lot but he seems to do…

Well done! I tried the 5:2 and actually managed that for a while (but felt it encouraged me to be a piglet the rest of the time) so I keep telling myself that 1200 calories is easy compared to that ;)
-
ok good advice, thank you rabbitjb :)
-
p.s. I'm down 1.4lb overnight - but I did put a lot of weight on overnight at the weekend after a meal out in a Brazilian restaurant ;)
-
thanks North44 I will take a peek for some ideas :) doylejohnpaul wow that is a FAST weight loss! How many calories is it allowing you per day? Liftng4Lis - it might be unnecessary but I would like to stick to mostly clean and natural foods with the odd treat thrown in. Unnecessary or not I've been feeling a lot younger…
-
ok thanks all. I will try and stick to "clean" but with the odd small bar of 90% dark choc thrown in for good measure! Also I will reintroduce carbs as I am missing them so much! I actually can't wait to have a small baked potato, one of my faves.
-
OK thank you 999tigger. Yes I agree I am all over the place. My friends would agree with you there. I had hoped that I could knock "diets" on the head with this clean eating, but it seems it was just one more fad. Albeit one that made me feel more energetic and younger and my skin glow! (although that might have also been…
-
ok thanks Nony-Mouse, will do. Let's see then, if I stick to the plan, how accurate MFP will be. Perhaps I can lose 1.5-2lb per week, it has been known in the past. I don't want to ever go back, but I really don't understand why Slimming World works so well, when it lets you have unlimited amounts of certain foods,…
-
p.s. I've been logging - do you guys make your diaries public so people can advise, or better to be private?
-
thanks all - great advice. I like that everyone is pretty much in agreement (can be a problem when asking advice online if every bit of advice is different!). Yeah I did but it says I will only lose 1.2lb per week :( I REALLY want to lose 2 a week, giving me a stab at a size 14 for my holiday. Surely, 2 lb a week can be…

One thing though everyone - I've been "educated" that low fat foods like yoghurt, milk etc. are bad for me as they contain nasties. I'm hoping I can cope without going back to "fat free". Anyone any thoughts on this? (obviously the spray oil is a deviation from this).
-
Did you try to convince anyone else? My kids will eat almost anything under this sun, love my little foodies - but the clean treats were just not doing it for them!
-
stupid question but, when MFP tracks calories out, it includes the calories you burn just sitting down/being human throughout the day yes? Not just those used in exercise?
