Sorry I’m not understanding the comment that MFP does not calculate added sugar when I see the sugar when I scan my food item. Thx

Thanks for your comments. Sorry for my ignorance but not understanding the “added” sugar. So my Starbucks drink chai tea has sugar in it, is that added sugar? I’m not adding anything to it myself and MFP calculates its sugar in my consumption. Ps I was using “trust” as a figure of speech. :-)

So my exercising aside. How do you define active versus very active? There is 300 calorie allowance difference for me between the two and I'm trying to make sure I select the correct one.

thanks! your comments are extremely helpful! So i went back and took a look at my settings on MFP. To lose 2 pounds per week without exercise I can only consumer 1200 calories per day (I would faint!). I am working out 6 days a week and burn 350-450 calories per workout....so I definitely need to be eating those calories.…

Curious - if I am eating and workout for weight loss, why would I "eat back" the calories i burned from a workout?

Ah. That is exactly what it is. It's getting adjusted when I add my exercise calories. Can I prevent that? Man, there goes that extra glass of wine I thought I was able to have :-)
