  • My mum dad and twin sister know my heaviest weight and current weight. That's it! I haven't told my partner, although people know I've lost a total of 5 stone 11pounds. When I say the current loss they look shocked, and I say I have another 5 stone ish to go. They are horrified. That just say I'll be too skinny. ( not…
  • Yes me too, I have tweaked things like cooking oils, they have been replaced with 1cal spray oil. Things like that. Just buy better qulality cookies as I have less! :) total loss since May 2012 = 5 stone 7 pounds . X
  • Personally I can't go from an early breakfast 7:30, to lunch at 1pm without something in the middle. I usually have some fat free total Greek yougurt with berries or fruit. That gets me to lunch. Good luck x
  • I have a 1200 limit (and an open diary). I make almost all my meals from scratch and during the week I snack between to keep me full (although I've always had to do that) I do eat excercise cals back sometimes more than others but it's doable. It suits me . Oh and I'm particularly anal about weighing my food. Even have a…
  • If you can't afford a gym membership and can't face bike riding just walk, for a week monitor your average daily steps and add a percentage on to it, realistic like 15-20% to do each day. Increase each week. Also if job seeking is there somewhere local ish you can volunteer, animal shelter or somewhere you will be moving…
  • My brothers wife was worried about gaining weight with her first. She took it to extremes and ate at a strict and largedefecit. You could barley tell she was pregnant the whole time. She weighed less post baby than before getting pregnant! Stupid and dangerous I know. As a result baby was small and development was slower…
  • I thought the recepie builder in the app still had bugs. The individual portions were coming out lower than they are. I just write down quantities of the ingredients and add them together. Weigh your portions you can work out from there x but if the app is fixed then atleast people would be able to see what I'm making?!
  • Hey, my diary is always open. Anyone can feel free to add me. I tend to make lots of homemade meals but not log as a recepie as the app is still glitchy. But if you want to know ingredients then just on me I'll be happy to help xx
  • Yep! As best I can. Then I can see what I've done, feel guilty about it move on and do better/ less next time. X it works in your favour x
  • I'm 5'7/8 and currently 222, 140 is my target (started weight loss at 293! On a different app) I have set 2lb per week loss and its suggests 1192 or something like that. I fiddled with my % as I wanted to up my protein . I don't really want to go lower than 1200. So I won't. I know it's not much but it's possible for the…
  • Stop fretting over this! I know it's easier said than done but you are further than you think. Eat 'normally' for a week, weigh everything, and be brutally honest. Get a starting calorie consumption, look at the empty calories you consume. And reduce it, if it's a huge gap to what you should be eating, gradually reduce it…
  • There is currently a bug in the app, the calories are incorrect when building recepie a/ meals. Weigh everything, add up cal and everything else you are monitoring. (Don't forget all oils and sauce!) total the weights of everything. Total calories divided by total weight will give you cal per gram. Times that by the weight…
  • Never used to 'reward' myself, but now I meet up with friends once a month and don't worry about the calories for that meal. I can look forward to my splurge meal. However I have not cut anything out apart from stuff that makes me sick! Lol if I want chocolate and it's going to fit/ maybe eat back more exercise cal than…
  • Tell me about it! The BF is trying but says things like, do you need to weigh that?! Errrr yeah how else do I know how much it weighs! Lol and will weigh and write down what everything is in the odd meal, then just splashed around veg oil like its water?! ' oh it's like a tablespoon' doesn't cut it! (And it's more like 4!)…
  • You are right, some people are just nasty, however, I've read a LOT! Of posts saying 'help I'm not loosing... What's wrong' when asked if the weigh their food in grams/ oz the say no I am a good judge of weight, obviously not, like a lot of us that's a weakness, and your over weight as a result! Then when people have lost…
  • Pre log as much as possible, then you can see if you have any cals spare. I was eating all my cal back but not anymore, I like to see a 'left over' amount every day if I can. Also taken up crochet, really enjoy it and I loose track of time so no time to snack!
  • I've started to weigh myself daily and record the weight (not here) I only record my weight every Tuesday morning regardless of what it says, after using the bathroom. Only used to weigh every month, noticed I was not really loosing (in between counting cals and not!) so went back to weekly. Wanted to see my fluctuations…
  • Eggs, shiritaki noodles (Japanese not branded 'skinny' ones!) 1/2 the fridge is just veg. Bell peppers, pak choi, beans, mange tout, carrots, sweet potatoe, fennel bulbs, fresh herbs, limes, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, radish. Anything and everything. Fadge 0% Greek yog, freezer is filled with meat, fish, shrimp, I grind…
  • The protein works stuff tastes amazing!!! Blends well, and they have a really wide range of powders depending on what you want it for. Only used the diet ones though but they are lovely. They constantly have offers on too.
  • Semi sweet or dark choc chips, you can't eat too many but they fix a chocolate craving :)
  • Ostrich is really lean, so is kangaroo. They are affordable now. Lean mince beef? Just don't over cook it as there's less fat and it will dry out. Turkey thigh mince is lovely. Lean pork, shrimp, tuna steak, monkfish, most things. Just buy from a butcher so you know there's nothing added and season yourself. Sooo much…
  • Before you drop to 1200 cal try this for a week. Tell your house mates it's nothing to do with them so their concern is sweet but comments not required. Plate up what you would normally eat just 'eyeballing' the measures write it down, then actually weigh it all. Keep a diary for at least a week do it with everything! Oils…
  • Most things were over estimated, apart from meat and fish for some reason! I was shocked at the calories of don'e things like wholemeal bread! They always say it's good for you but it's still as calorific as white! Again quite pleased at the watermelon cal/weight ! :) but hey j knew I was over estimating/ overeating as I…
  • Leaving do pictures almost two years ago, they are on Facebook for the whole world to see as well! I looked hideous! And at almost 21stone of course I would, my weight yo yo'd until last year when I realised my sister was tiny in comparison and my parents and friends were always complementing her and then nothing for me.…
  • Just added you :) my diary a public , I've got to get better doing my meals and saving rather than just adding manually. Feel free to moan if I don't create a recipe x
  • 28 to get there, 67 lost already
  • This is a similar story to mine until this last year. It took me 2years just over to shed 2.5/3 stone, regain it a few times and then plateau. That sounds ok but considering at my biggest I was 21stone at 5 ft 7!!!! You get the idea. Anyway, I jacked in the gym, made better food choices and the biggest factor... I weigh…
  • Snack on raw carrots, watermelon, celery. Something you have to chew a lot! You will feel like you are eating more than you are. Or if you are odd like me eat raw spinach leaves one at a time ! Love them and they take up almost nothing of your calories! :) I have also taken up crochet, the time flies so fast as I enjoy it…
  • I don't have salmon 'burgers' as such but I really like this on my salmon fillet. Light soy, lemon juice , make a crust of herbs and spices on the salmon (just the top. Paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, Chilli flakes, mixed herbs, salt pepper) . Put that in a foil basket(made from a piece of foil)…
  • I was looking at activity trackers, looked at loads, I thought it would be handy to get one that's compatable with MFP but didn't know if it was worth the cost! Checked out the competition, looked at reviews and comparisons and top 10 polls for activity trackers. In the end I paid £20 for my Mi activity and sleep tracker.…
