  • I also have POS which makes it harder to lose.
  • Please add me as a friend
  • I don't do any lifting yet but when I'm walking or doing the eliptical, I LOVE to listen to 80's rock boy bands, Led Zepplin, ZZ TOP, KISS, Poison, Bon Jovi...you get the idea.
  • welcome. Please fell free to add me as your buddy. I went through the IVF procedures too.
  • I have just recently started eliminating carbs from my diet and I feel so much better. I had done the atkins diet in the past and lost alot of weight but gained it back. This time I"m taking the approach that I'm not dieting, just cutting out alot of the carbs that are bad. I'm still eating a few but nothing like I was. I…
  • oh and after I had the kids, my periods are regular like clock work. Although I still have to really watch my weight. And I did become gestional diabetic during my second pregnancy but it went away. I keep a close check on my A1C.
  • My hubby and I tried for 5 years to have a child. Luckily our insurance paid for IVF so that is what we did to get both of our children. However, before the IVF we had done in office inseminations due to my irregluar periods. I would get pregnant and then miscarry. The docs didn't do anything special. Well, when I went to…
  • Feel free to add me. I joined this about 3 months ago, lost 6 pounds. I had to attend a 6 week military style academy for my work, I work in a prison, didn't lose anything, in fact gained 4 pounds but it was muscle. I'm having a really hard time getting motivated again with trying to lose. I could definitley use some…
  • I understand your frustration. My mom has always hounded me about my weight even when I was thin. Just stick with what you are doing and it sounds like it's working. Don't let her get you down. The weight came on slowly, it will go off slowly. I've been doing this for about a month and have lost around 10 pounds (some…
  • what was your turning point to make you want to lose? You look great. I really wish I had the time to work out 7 days a week. I'm lucky to get walking in. Keep up the great work.
  • For me anyway, I am sure I will always have to watch or count my calories even after I reach my goal. I've always had to watch my weight and now as I get older even more so. It is just something I have accepted recently. I still have a ways to go to reach my goal but once I do, I will continue to log in and count. When I…
  • I have never heard of the keto diet...can you give me some details of how it works? Thanks.
  • Have you checked with your doctor before you started the exercise routine or have you checked back with the doctor to let them know what is going on? I would do that just to rule out something else going on. Good luck.
  • I thought this was a serious board...
  • so should I increase my calories for the day?
  • I really didn't set a goal on how much weight to lose a week. Just wanted to get the amount of calories good for me. Yesterday, I had 16 calories left over that I could eat and I entered my water intake and I still get the message of if you ate like this for 5 weeks you would weight 192.5 pounds. I just don't get it! Those…
  • Back in the late 70's early 80's there was the grapefruit diet. My mom needed to lose 75 pounds. She lost down to 110 pounds. I remember her eating toast and drinking black coffee and eating grapefruit for breakfast and with every meal but it was nowhere close to 40 a day. My brother in law tried it during the same time…
  • The only program that I have ever seen that works is the Richard Simmons Deal A Meal system which is still on the market. It is based on the concept of portions too but you move the cards when you have eaten that particular food...when you are out of cards in the sleeve, you are done eating for the day. It has been on the…
  • I have always struggled with my weight and I'm a stress eater so that doesn't help. I love this app. It makes me accountable for what I eat and it rewards me for the exercise I do.
  • I've been on this site for almost 2 months now and the only issue I have found is the exercise portion. It does not seem to have alot of those logged in. Example I have an eliptical but I have no way to know how many calories burned when I use it. I do like the food log because most anything I have eaten is on there.
  • I try to eat better or more strict with what I am going to eat for a couple of days before an event so I can spurge at the event. Then I got back to watching what I eat the next day. WE all need a cheat day.
  • I understand. It's hard for me to stay motivated too. I guess because I expect immediate results but I have to realize I didn't put the weight on overnight so it's not coming off overnight. We can chat if you'd like. I need someone to communicate with on my progress and to keep me going too.
  • I love to walk our nature trail or the road beside my house when it's pretty. I also have a eliptical in the garage that I use when it is raining. I don't run...never have been able to even in high school but I do walk at a very fast pace.
  • Freidon, how did you lose your weight? I had been walking 2 miles a day in 30 minutes for over a year and didn't lose any weight. My doctor put me on a prescription diet pill to speed up my metabolism. I lost 42 pounds but didn't like the side effects. IT seems for me that if I don't take that diet pill then I can't lose…
  • I have always been told to weight myself once a week, the same day and same time. That works for me.
